Hand wash is like $150 minimum near where I live and you have to leave it for a few hours. I wish I had a touch less or hand wash place near me. You’re luckyThey said that I could use touch-less. But they also have a hand wash package.Imagine that.
You can do it quick. foam it with soap, use a wash mop, and then blast it with the power washer, then just need to use a blower. it takes me less than 30 minutes. Looks better than new each time.Ceramic coating means only hand wash for the future. Those are hard to find where I live
Yes. That’s what I mean by a hand wash. You can do it quick. foam it with soap, use a wash mop, and then blast it with the power washer, then just need to use a blower. it takes me less than 30 minutes. Looks better than new each time.
Absolutely. I have seen some places where these pull stalls for the manual car washes actually employ a reverse osmosis system for their water use but I imagine that’s few and far between.getting harder to find the touchless wash places...but most of these places (most cash washes) use the strongest cheapest alkaline soap they can get to do the wash to avoid getting complaints...I worked a project very early in my career for a major oil company. where I learned the "car wash" business. it was an eye opener.
Don't laugh. I have a RO / DI kit for my home setup (it runs 1-2 PPM).Absolutely. I have seen some places where these pull stalls for the manual car washes actually employ a reverse osmosis system for their water use but I imagine that’s few and far between.
That’s great. I’d love to have a set up like that but washing your own car at your house in my town is pretty much against the law unless you can prove that you have some kind of chemical recovery system.Don't laugh. I have a RO / DI kit for my home setup (it runs 1-2 PPM).
After I did the ceramic...it was the only way to go. Plus My TRX was too big for many of the local carwash places and several folks here reported damage to the grill and side vents going through those soft touch wash places.
I let the rain do it.wait... you guys wash your jeep?
i dont even get that here in the desertI let the rain do it.
It definitely makes it easier with the front seats removed. I saw some videos where they moved them back and forth but I chose to remove them.Installing ArmorLite this weekend. Any suggestions or tips for those that've done it? Read trough the instructions, watched some videos, seems easy enough just time consuming. I'm contemplating leaving the seats in. I don't have the space to put them anywhere at my place, so unless it's highly recommended to remove them completely, I'll drive to my in-laws to do the work.
Good to know. I have the ARB under the passenger seat on the Epic Kraken mount. I wondered what kind of added challenges I'd have with that. Anything specific you ran into with your compressor? It definitely makes it easier with the front seats removed. I saw some videos where they moved them back and forth but I chose to remove them.
Getting the fronts to fit in was not as easy as the video made it look but other than trim cuts on the hands wasn’t too bad. My under seat compressor added a challenge
I ended up cutting away the Armorlite and putting some vinyl on the floor (to cover the white) the armorlite is much thicker that the carpet and doesn’t have the squishiness to allow the seat morning bolts to hold it down flat which causes the compressor to hit the seat. Sorry I should have taken pics but I am horrible with that lol.Good to know. I have the ARB under the passenger seat on the Epic Kraken mount. What area did you need to cutaway? Around all 4 seat mounting bolts?I ended up cutting away the Armorlite and putting some vinyl on the floor (to cover the white) the armorlite is much thicker that the carpet and doesn’t have the squishiness to allow the seat morning bolts to hold it down flat which causes the compressor to hit the seat. Just the rear section of armorlite under the pump bracket to allow the mount to be lower. The front piece of armorlite was ok if I recall I may have had to trim it some. (The front and rear meet about middle of seat just like the carpet) Mine is the twin ARB Innovative AT systems but they mount the sameWhat area did you need to cutaway? And is your setup also using a dual ARB compressor with the Epic Kraken mount?
Got it, thanks for the information, very helpful to know what to expect.Just the rear section of armorlite under the pump bracket to allow the mount to be lower. You are welcome! Hope it helps! I didn’t realize until I had the seat back in lol. I edited my post I think I may have had to trim the front piece some don’t recall for sure.Got it, thanks for the information, very helpful to know what to expect.
