🛠️ What did you do to your Jeep 392 today?

I spent a few hours calibrating the speedometer on my 392 with a Tazr, so that it is accurate with 40" tires. The city installed one of those radar "slow down" signs about a mile from my house so I decided to use it to calibrate my speedometer. I had to program a tire size of 39.3" to get an accurate speedometer with my 40" Toyo MTs. Now when I pass the radar sign with the cruise control set at 50 mph, the sign reads 50 mph.

Wait...I thought all of those numbers on signs were just suggestions?

He didn't say what the zone speed limit was though. Might have been a 30MPH zone. :ROFLMAO:

It is actually a 35-mph zone, but it is a rural area. I don't think I've ever seen anyone go 35 mph through this area, which is probably why they put up the radar sign.

Scored some RC diff skids for 80 bucks for the pair and got them on yesterday. Yes I know RC but for less than 100 bucks couldn’t say no. And the drivetrain sounds so much better with 75w-140 in the diffs

Looks awesome.

How are your side bags holding up? I bought a pair last year and they didn't last long. Screws stripped out from the bags shaking back and forth on rough roads. It's highly likely user-installation problems on my part, but I'm curious if you're noticing any issues with them.

They’ve been with me since 2019 when I bought them for my JK. Swapped them over to the 392 in 2022 with just a bracket change. I have had zero issues with them whatsoever and I regularly put them on and take them off.

Are you saying the little bottom screws into the roll bar stripped out?

That's good to know. I love the bags and the storage they provide. I'll try them again. And if I remember correctly, it was both screws that popped out, which isn't a problem with the product itself. Maybe I overtightened.

Actually I think your issue may be that the rubber coating on the bracket is too thick and doesn’t let the screw fully engage into the rollbar. Try trimming back some of the rubber around the screw hole in the mounting bracket. I can’t take a picture of mine cuz it’s covered by the shelf now, but on mine the screw is “sunk in” a bit past the rubber….if that makes sense. I do recall having to really press in to get the screw to engage properly.

Ahh, I do remember that rubber. I didn't sink the screws in far past it and so they were popping out. Sounds like I didn't tighten enough. Thank you!

first trip out wheeling, thing has some nice drop on the front end with it. I was going to mess with the suspension idk now lol

Spilled 3 gallons of used motor oil in the back….
Filled the compartment with the jack, ran down underneath the rear seats…

Started cutting out carpet, going to replace everything. Is ArmorLite what most people use?Anyone use something different they prefer?

Finally got the chance to install the other Tyri lights for fence checks at night as well as rigid rear brake light chase light. Hook it up to aux 4. Installed the Mopar rear brake location bracket ( of course it needed to be modified) installed the whip antenna light/flag holder on the back as well. Also Redline hood lift kit. Also the Mopar wheel lock kit from other Jeep . Almost there, it goes in for a little more vinyl work tomorrow morning.
Great setup man, can you share a brand/ link of these dual A-pillar light mounts?
