🛠️ What did you do to your Jeep 392 today?

Ordered one of those on Black Friday. The thing weighs over 25 pounds, lots beefier than I expected. Have not fired mine up yet, have you? Debating keeping it or going w/ an passenger underseat mount of an ARB...-?
Hey man!
I haven't opened it up yet, definitely will this weekend followed by a trip to Harbor Freight to see what mods I can do to the air hose to make filling up easier. An under seat ARB/ Kraken compressor system would be awesome but a this time I cannot justify the investment with my limited off-roading use of the Jeep.

According to the reviews; if I want to read the pressure gauge on the hose closet to the tire you're inflating, I have to go back to the compressor and turn it off so If I'm on the opposite side of the vehicle, that's a lot of back and forth. So far I'm set on this, the pistol grip will give me access to start/stop inflating much closer to the tire without having to go back to the compressor. More to follow after experimenting.

Working on suspension!

Got it tuned today. Curious to know how these numbers compare to what others have gotten

Nothing done to the engine apart from the tune and an S&B air intake. Might do headers at some point in the future

i got the metal cloak HD cross member in last night. Was a bit funky/tricky getting the stock one out as i had to take the trans mount completely off in order to wiggle the cross member out.

Fun fact, the stock transmission mount is aluminum

went in easily and I'm pretty sure the jeep is quieter now going down the road as I heard a lot less body flex noise going into work this monring.

Question for a first time jeep owner. What's the concept of putting vented inner fenders on your Jeep, like DV8 or Quadratech? I would think that splashing water and debris on your $$$$$K SRT would not be beneficial. Curious. Heat dissipation would be one benefit; what else? Thanks

Everything in there gets soaking wet and covered with road grime when driving in the rain on the highway. It's all pretty much designed to handle that under the hood, maybe not beneficial, but not too detrimental either.

I don't see much water and mud here, and during summer at high altitude, having some heat dissipation might help with under hood temps. Other than that, and people like the way they look. My removable inner fenders (not really vented), are a game changer for working on the Jeep. I can remove the quarter turn fasteners, and have the inner fender out in about 30 seconds, which makes getting to the side of the engine much easier, and running wires down along the firewall and along the frame to the rear and such so much easier.

Got the MetalCloak drag link installed and adhusted by my local shop and found a local seller and grabbed the Hellwig 7775 rear sway bar.

Installed the sway bar last evening.

Waiting until later today to check the results of how it impacts the ride.

Driveability was significantly floaty and am sure it is due to the weight carried inside and outside with MC skids and Pioneer rack with awnings.

Genuinely want it to ride and look better....right now the rear end os a full 2 inches lower than the front

I'm running the American Adventure lab removable inner fenders. As a bonus, you can order them custom cut for my Falcon 3.3 shocks.

I have the same setup and it is nice!

I picked mine up from the shop that swapped the 3.73 for 4.88 Motive gears. I'm SUPER impressed so far. Still in break in period so no hot-rodding it but the shifting is buttery smooth, and mpg actually increased from 11-11.5 to over 14 so far driving my normal 20mile drive and I can hit 8th gear easily now. 😁

Changed the oil, FYI to all, every dealer in my area of Phoenix was out of the 041 filters, seems there is a national back order right now.

Guess Chrysler US didn't get their shipments of MO-041 filters from Poland yet!

Which tuner did you use, if you don’t mind sharing? Did that include tranny tune as well?

Probably available on Amazon.
That’s where I had originally bought the one I had, had a little mishap and needed an emergency replacement, hence the trip to the dealer

Ah yes, when you really want the parts they are never there.

Sorry, no idea. Had it done at a shop. Idea was to be there when they did it so I could ask a lot of questions and make the techs life miserable but sadly they were backed up and I had to leave the Jeep with them for a day.
They did transmission, engine, fan and throttle I believe. No lag on the pedal anymore, finally feels like I have a v8
