🛠️ What did you do to your Jeep 392 today?

Hi, saw your post and was wondering what specific items i need to install armor lite flooring? Do i need to remove the seats and carpet?

I believe if you are not doing the additional sound deadening then you can technically do it without removing the seats from the cabin. You still need to remove the bolts holding the seats regardless so even if I wasn't doing sound deadening I'd remove them as it makes working with the stiffer Armorlite flooring more manageable-IMO.

I did this on both my Gladiator and Wrangler and removed the seats and all carpeting as I was also installing the sound deadening as well.

Tip-
If you decide to do the sound deadening - I'll share one tip I learned. The Armorlite flooring doesn't cover all the same areas the carpeting did so you can see the floor underneath in some spots(seatbelts, set bolts, etc...). The killmat I use was silver and shiny and is visible in those areas so my tip would be to plan ahead and not put material there or use a color that matches your armorlite decently.

I used my new 392 for a parts bin. Stole one of the rear hatch struts for my ratty old 2018, so it would work for tomorrow's Metalcloak Skillz Day at Gorman.

After 5 months waiting for RCV front shafts and not being able to be told an expected delivery date, I canceled the order. 8 days after ordering a set of Currie Extreme 60s I had these dropped off in my driveway this morning. 4.88 gears, Eaton lockers.

Installed the FitcamX dash cam. I have had one in my TRX for a couple of years and frequently go to the website to see if it’s being offered for the Wrangler. One of our members here posted he added one to his Jeep and I ordered mine the next second. Gonna get creative with the rear, the wire disconnects so instead of using the 2sided tape to make it semi permanent, I ordered a magnet to stick under my rear roll bar so I can remove it if I feel the need to. The front camera was an easy install. Running the rear cable took some time because I had to loosen all the trim to hide the wire. Not difficult at all just sort of tedious. My top stays off in the summer so that makes the job much easier. These cameras are pretty good and the app is easy to navigate and down load. The biggest plus is that it looks like it came from the factory. Hands down the cleanest install of any dash cam.

I was that other member . By the way, don't forget to pop in the 2 screw head covers for those exposed holes on the slanted sides- it cleans up the look even more. You may need to look deep in the packaging to find them, but they're in there

Took FITCAMX a while to come up with a JL 2024+ version. It’s as good as the others I have installed.

I have had one on my TRX and my daughter’s Accord for a couple of years. No issues. I did order the CPL filter. I find they help with glare. You can get from Amazon but they are the same price as ordering from FITCAMX

I installed a clear protective film on the door sills. The sill protectors I bought only protect the lower flat part, not the upper lip that meats the plastic interior panel. I used a clear vinyl adhesive film used to protect the frame/chainstay on bikes. I measured carefully, applied along the straight edge and cut with an exacto knife. Came out great, looks factory and I know have full sill protection on all 4 doors. The reason i was concerned about this is the day I picked up my 09, I stepped on the sill and scratched it up. Luckily I found a door sill protector that covers both upper and lower sills, so it became a non issue.

I installed the Mopar Performance Wiper System. I love it. It covers the entire windshield and docent leave those streaks at the top. Downsides are that it's expensive, the blades aren't as good as Bosch blades, and it uses fluid at twice the rate. If you like a clean windshield then it's a must have upgrade. My wife can drive around with a dirty windshield for weeks.

I installed a custom (no foil) Hot Heads liner and the sunshade on the SOT top. Had them delete the foil so it wouldn't interfere with the Starlink signal. I tested before I ordered with the headliner out of my JK.

Installed the Mishimoto silicone oil cooler hose today. I have not had any trouble with the OEM one but didn’t want to either. I have carried a spare hose for a long time just in case. I can confidently say that this is not a repair you would wanna try to do on the side of the road or a trail especially when hot.
