Ted392 Mods

If you are at 18k, then perhaps you have 450 miles remaining! Oops, I hope I didn't jinx you.
I think 40s offsets the issues and I will never have a problem.

Do you think the dealer will warranty the TC with 40s on it?

Wait, you bet me like $10k that I wouldn't make it through the Great American Crawl since my Service4w light came on the weekend before. I think I will need to collect my money. We will either be in the Ouachitas or the Ozarks starting September 3rd if you want to just pay me then. I am also willing to accept an Atlas vs the money.
LMMFAO.... Firstly, I'd recommend you lay off that peyote ya'll grow down there in TX :-).... Secondly, I think you'll be fine with 40's when you're sitting in your driveway basking in your rigs shine, going to the grocery store, parked at the park for all the ooooo's and ahhhh's, but I've seen pics of the trails you run (and major kudos for doing so) so at some point something is going to give particularly with a heavy foot.... love ya', brother... marking my Calendar for the 3rd now to see if I can squeeze it but it is a Tuesday and some of us still need to work; can't all be a baller like you

They'd have to be dicks and then prove 40s caused failure.

Install that fan and bracket yet?

LOL...you know that I am afraid of malls and grocery stores.

We should be there through a couple of weekends. I will let you know.

I have not and I have yet to see the warning. My fender liners should be here next week and that will be a perfect time to install it.

I was holding out for a PSC but I just spent my PSC money going bigger so I won't be able to turn at all but it won't matter since my Jeep will be stuck somewhere with a blown TC.

Jeep dealer tech called. New tcase ordered under warranty. 7 days plus install. So hopefully in 2-3 weeks, I'll get my 392 back!

Yay! I can start the big break kit and steering pump upgrade. 💸

Out of curiosity, did the service rep disclose any information about failure frequency of the TC?

How many are you willing to go through before going Atlas?

Just tell them you will drop off your own TC for them to install instead lol

I asked if the drained the oil. He said no, they put it on the lift and ran it to confirm noise again and called for approval. I can get the bad case for the core charge. I passed on the offer.

Went through MT, east side of Livingston Peak, then to the east side of the Crazy Mountains. Great trip across 2 lane roads to MI where the tcase failed. Abandoned 392 at dealership, hope to go get it in 2 months.

Fun trip regardless of tcase failure.
I liked the photos, but that just sucks about your T-Case. 2 months? Geez!

So I thought I would start a mod thread for my 2022 392XR Sting Gray, aka Zippy.

I have done a few small and simple mods to date since it arrive in mid Aug.

Installed the Redline hood strut lift kit. Nice setup. The cutting is unfortunate but required. That hood is heavy and the prop rod gets hot so this kit helped me a lot.

Dead pedal, a knock of one, just to try. Easy install and adjustable.

Mopar/Jeep tailgate table. Very useful for all sorts of reasons, mostly food!

Mopar longer lower front LCA's.

Fox adjustable ATS steering stabilizer. Another easy install. Mind the carriage bolt change (6510774AA)

Weather Tech mud flaps, all 4. Mostly for protection against self inflicted rock wounds.

Bullet-point mounts, both, for phone and Go-pro. I reused the tray liner by drilling a hole at each to slip over the mount. Added some extra 3m tape to secure ends down.

Hotheads headliner and panels pads for the SOT. Pretty easy install.

Next up is:
Warn VR EVO 10s winch with Warn plate and Factor55 flat link.
Full ppf wrap and ceramic coating
Ceramic tint for front door glass
Rock Slide Step sliders/LOD Destroyers
Engine/Transmission skid plate, maybe MORE?
Paint muffler black
Looks great

Well here is my tcase saga.

After waiting 6 weeks for a tcase to arrive at the dealer (6 hours away from home), they scheduled the work for a week later. They they called and said that the issue was the front drive shaft?! They ordered a new one and a week later they replaced it and test drove it (my tracker showed it was driven) and said all is good. I doubted them and asked if they would service the tcase (drop oil, check for tcase parts in oil..). They said oil came out clear with no signs of metal shavings or any other anomalies. So, tomorrow I head up there with my truck and trailer. I don't have confidence in driving back 6 hours with 2 of those hours without much cell service. Once I get it home, I will do my own service check, etc and drive it a bit to verify.

That's weird.
