Tail gate inner 392 plate

Same thing happened to me today at the Parts Dept.; but they knew to add the “AA” to the Part #. Only $14.95; 300 on back order; no ETA. Since it was not cross-referenced to my VIN and only listed as “Plate”, I will be pleasantly surprised if I receive the Gold Rubicon 392 Plate instead of another Silver JL Plate.

I love the bronze so much i ordered new wheels (with at3 35s) to really play up the bronze theme. Putting them on today with black lugs. ((My hun was scared to hurt my wheels.... notice the black gloves! I had to laugh. ))
Gorgeous Wheels! I hope calling your significant other “Hun” is not a Freudian Slip because a Hun is "a member of a warlike Asiatic nomadic people who ravaged Europe in the 4th–5th centuries.” Sorry, my ex-wide was an English teacher -- I wasn’t allowed to make spelling or gramatical errors. I should have called her “Hun”.

This is absolutely a BS move by Stellantis. Understand they made a running change to production, that’s there prerogative. However, the fact remains that the silver plate contains an error in specs. Water fording details are WRONG, and it is a 4 Door, not 2 door. I believe this reflects on Stellantis’s overall QC process, not to mention very poor customer service.

Totally agree. My guess is that they installed the silver plate in the early production models because the 392 specific plate was not yet available. But they need to make it right by offering it to those owners that have the incorrect plate. You shouldn’t have to jump through hoops to get one.

Here’s mine, production was late June. Anyone with an update on how many were produced for 2021? Dealer allocations were shut down for July.

Mine rolled out mid July and picked it up 6 days ago. It has all the matching bronze pieces it should have, and the correct dash color. Just curious, and this is off subject, but how many of you got the cool little personalized note printed on your window sticker?
"This vehicle was built especially for FIRST NAME MI LAST NAME".
I was surprised to see my first middle initial and last name printed on the sticker.

Thanks for the heads up…. I just pulled my window sticker and have the same personalized sticker. Nice little touch even though I didn’t get the gold 392 tailgate tag!

I'm pretty sure that FCA prints the name of the person that special ordered the vehicle on the window sticker. Every vehicle I have ordered from them have my first, M.I. and last name printed on the top righthand side of the window stickers.

First vehicle I’ve ordered from FCA, so maybe it’s their thing. GM and Ford’s I’ve ordered over the past years didn’t have anything as I recall.

I think it's a very nice touch! However, should someone back out of completing the purchase of the vehicle that they ordered then the person eventually buying that vehicle has someone else's name on the window sticker:(.

Thought it was pretty cool. Each previous Wrangler I've bought was from lots. I've only ordered Ford and Toyota.

I visited the dealer today to address all known issues with my 392. As far as the tailgate data plate is concerned my dealer ordered the correct part under warranty. I shared with the service writer that I would actually like to keep the incorrect plate in place for the "mis-printed penny" effect and put the replacement plate in the glovebox. He informed me that the factory will most likely require actual replacement and return of the replaced part. We’ll see how this pans out once the correct part is available. More to follow….
I ordered the plate. It was only $14.95. If it’s the right one I may just hang on to it and cancel the warranty work. It’s only four rivets, but I’m not convinced the replacement rivets will look “factory” installed. I’m also unsure if the drilled out rivets, that would end up lying inside the bottom of the tailgate, will rattle or not.

Might you be able to post up the part number for us please?

I can’t verify the accuracy of part number 68570513AA until it arrives; this was the only part number they had.

Thank you!

I’ve noticed in several videos on the 392 the info plate on the vehicles being reviewed is just the standard white JL plate. But mine is the gold color and 392 specific. Curious how many of you have your 392 and what plate is on the inside of the gate.
Mine is the 392 plate

This is what I got from MOPAR Parts online...

As a never owned a Jeep before person, am I wrong in saying that if you can add that foldable table to the tailgate, you should be able to fish out the remnants?
Also, you can get many colors of rivets to try to match the original.
