Thanks for posting this! I'm going into the dealer on Tuesday for a recall and will add this data plate issue to the workorder and see if I can get mine corrected under warranty.I’ve noticed in several videos on the 392 the info plate on the vehicles being reviewed is just the standard white JL plate. But mine is the gold color and 392 specific. Curious how many of you have your 392 and what plate is on the inside of the gate.
Also, when was your vehicle built?I’ve noticed in several videos on the 392 the info plate on the vehicles being reviewed is just the standard white JL plate. But mine is the gold color and 392 specific. Curious how many of you have your 392 and what plate is on the inside of the gate.
Production date is 6/21. Picked it up from dealer on Tuesday 7/20/2021Also, when was your vehicle built?
Hmmm... Wondering when the change occurred. Seems the earlier ones got the standard JL Plate.Production date is 6/21. Picked it up from dealer on Tuesday 7/20/2021

Mine had 7 and was pretty cleanMaybe you only got the 392 plate if your vehicle was driven 60-80 miles before being shippedMy 392 arrived with only 9 miles on the odometer and was spotless.
Hello, my Wrangler 392 has the regular JL plate as well. I see that some members on the forum have attempted to get the regular JL plate replaced. Has anyone been successful? And how did they accomplish getting a plate? I’m just curious on where to start.I’ve noticed in several videos on the 392 the info plate on the vehicles being reviewed is just the standard white JL plate. I will start the process for a new plate on Tuesday, 27 July and will post up the results of what I find out.Hello, my Wrangler 392 has the regular JL plate as well. Thank you!
I agree with you 110% (but I still love it) and as a reminder to other readers... "True Wrangler Unlimiteds only have two doors"!Wtf! Mine arrived July 1…. And I have the standard JL plate.
ummm
I AM NOT PLEASED WITH THIS.
DEALER! BUELLER!
this needs to be fixed like NOW.
Jeep really dropped the ball with the styling of the 392. The shocks don’t match the 392 gold bronze. The wheels look platinum not gold bronze. The threading on the seats is…. Orange? Tan? Ugly to say the least. Even I can purchase water resistant gold thread. Jeep put a silver ring around the gearshift, but not the cup holder area right next to it, instead there’s just a intent where it should be. Like didja forget??? Furthermore there’s no “signature 392 color” or badging inside minus the orange threading. And now jeep hasn’t even given me the 392 tailgate badge.
JEEP YOU NEED TO HIRE ME BC THE ONE WHO HANDLES YOUR STYLING SUCKS. Totally incompetent. Color blind perhaps bc I have 4 different gold bronze colors on my jeep…. even I learned how to match in kindergarten.
Who wants a gecko rubi w red dash. No one. Jeep has been having serious issues with their “lip stick” issues for the last 5 years in my book. They need to go back to “a la crate” so we can choose matching dash colors, correct color combos, and for all that is muddy in this world NO ONE WANTS THOSE DAMN UNLIMITED DECALS.
smh. Calling dealer now.
Did you get this manual with your owners manualI just realized my owner’s manual is just a typical JL manual that does cover requirements for the 6.4L engine. The owner’s manual for my 2019 Challenger Scat Pack had specific requirements for the 6.4L engine including an “approved” list of where to buy decent gasoline for a high performance engine. JEEP should have taken the time to at least publish an addendum to the standard JL Owner’s Manual. I talked to the sales manager today about the JL tailgate plate and the JL manual. I will post updates when I hear from them again.
I got the same thing with mine.Did you get this manual with your owners manual
I went to jeep.com and texted them about the wrong data plate. It was late Friday so still waiting for a response. Maybe if everyone who didn't get the 392 plate contacted them we could get the right plate. Mine also came with the 392 supplement.I got the same thing with mine.
Perhaps Jeep might issue a recall to replace the plates of those 392s that did not get them originally.I went to jeep.com and texted them about the wrong data plate.
