Tail gate inner 392 plate

I’ve noticed in several videos on the 392 the info plate on the vehicles being reviewed is just the standard white JL plate. But mine is the gold color and 392 specific. Curious how many of you have your 392 and what plate is on the inside of the gate.
Like I said.. I got the dilvef jl badge... i emailed my ssles guy today (Sunday) and immediately got a text from a service manager who is ordering me the correct 392 badge monday.
BUT! Isnt it like a misprinted penny? Shouldnt i keep the wrong jl badge and gave the correct one also installed? I think that makes it all the more collectable!

Wtf! Mine arrived July 1…. And I have the standard JL plate.
ummm
I AM NOT PLEASED WITH THIS.
DEALER! BUELLER!
this needs to be fixed like NOW.
Jeep really dropped the ball with the styling of the 392. The shocks don’t match the 392 gold bronze. The wheels look platinum not gold bronze. The threading on the seats is…. Orange? Tan? Ugly to say the least. Even I can purchase water resistant gold thread. Jeep put a silver ring around the gearshift, but not the cup holder area right next to it, instead there’s just a intent where it should be. Like didja forget??? Furthermore there’s no “signature 392 color” or badging inside minus the orange threading. And now jeep hasn’t even given me the 392 tailgate badge.
JEEP YOU NEED TO HIRE ME BC THE ONE WHO HANDLES YOUR STYLING SUCKS. Totally incompetent. Color blind perhaps bc I have 4 different gold bronze colors on my jeep…. even I learned how to match in kindergarten.
Who wants a gecko rubi w red dash. No one. Jeep has been having serious issues with their “lip stick” issues for the last 5 years in my book. They need to go back to “a la crate” so we can choose matching dash colors, correct color combos, and for all that is muddy in this world NO ONE WANTS THOSE DAMN UNLIMITED DECALS.
smh. Calling dealer now.
Our dash is black - would have loved Red insets on the dash to break up the black. Are you saying your dash is red? But then our jeep is red. I would not want a red dash w/ another color jeep - except maybe black. And NO - we do NOT LOVE the bronze hooks or stitching… but our shocks DO match the bronze hooks.

Wait a minute. Your shocks are bronze? Picked up my White 392 last Wednesday. Black dash, wrong tailgate plate and platinum wheels. Haven’t checked shocks yet

Well, the shocks are bronze..!

Question to the group. I had a red dash on my last 2019 Rubicon. Paint was white, the red dash, and black seats were a great contrast in color. I have the black dash now. Does anyone know if I can order the red dash plate? If so, a part number?

Not sure how the Jeep you acquired got a black dash as all the 392s were supposed to come with Granite Chrystal colored dash which is the official color for Jeep's 80th anniversary.

No my dash is matte silver color.

Should I be successful in obtaining the 392 plate I am leaning toward leaving the original plate installed for the "Misprinted Penny" effect and just put the correct one in the glove box with the owners manual. But who knows, if I get the replacement under warranty the dealer will probably want the original one back for whatever reason.

Wow. Now I am totally confused about the mis-mash of parts thrown together. Seems like the “kitchen-sink” burger I order at the local diner. How amateur.

what color is the exterior paint color?

Hello, my Wrangler 392 has the regular JL plate as well. I see that some members on the forum have attempted to get the regular JL plate replaced. Has anyone been successful? And how did they accomplish getting a plate? I’m just curious on where to start.

Thank you!

Crystal Granite Gray. I put an email with photos to Jeep.com today. Hopefully they will get an answer for me.

They have bronze on them - they are not totally bronze - the match the badging… we have the incorrect tailgate plate as well. Platinum wheels as well. I noticed the shocks and thought it was awesome they match.

So, you decided to just order the plate from Parts instead of having it replaced under warranty?

Buy any chance would you happen to know the part number?

The service manager said we are doing it under warranty, we didn’t talk much about it, I just wanted to get it ordered and cross that bridge when I get it. I’ll get the part number as soon as I can. I’m drilling for the next couple of days

I visited the dealer today to address all known issues with my 392. As far as the tailgate data plate is concerned my dealer ordered the correct part under warranty. I shared with the service writer that I would actually like to keep the incorrect plate in place for the "mis-printed penny" effect and put the replacement plate in the glovebox. He informed me that the factory will most likely require actual replacement and return of the replaced part. We’ll see how this pans out once the correct part is available. More to follow….

Yes, the dark granite color - wish it was red
