I just called the parts department and was told that my 392 data plate is scheduled to be delivered on Tuesday. Hopefully this is correct and that everyone who also waiting for theirs will hear something soon

HelloI’ve noticed in several videos on the 392 the info plate on the vehicles being reviewed is just the standard white JL plate. But mine is the gold color and 392 specific. Curious how many of you have your 392 and what plate is on the inside of the gate.
Yeah, mines not for sale, plus I'm in Florida. Byers beware.Hello
I was looking on ebay for 392 emblems and found a gold 392 oem data plate for sale and they are using your photo you have on the forum I think this is odd. The seller is from Novi Michigan
Great to hear/read... what process did you use to get the correct data plate?Just got my correct 392 data plate today, free of charge![]()
I picked mine up today and it had the gold specific 392 plate.I originally called the parts department told them what i was looking for and he found the part number and he ordered it for me.
I was just being nice... my real nick names for him... aren't forum appropriate at this time but guys.... when you "change" the wedding date and 13 years go by... don't expect "hun" to beGorgeous Wheels! I hope calling your significant other “Hun” is not a Freudian Slip because a Hun is "a member of a warlike Asiatic nomadic people who ravaged Europe in the 4th–5th centuries.” Sorry, my ex-wide was an English teacher -- I wasn’t allowed to make spelling or gramatical errors. I should have called her “Hun”.
Thanks for the wheel compliment! I looove them.... and no Freudian slip.... i say "hun" bc "the dude who Ive been engaged to for 13 yrs" is just too damn long.Gorgeous Wheels! 13 years?? Thats a long test drive but I get it. I got engaged in Canada while on vacation, figured it wouldn't be valid in the US.I was just being nice... my real nick names for him... aren't forum appropriate at this time but guys.... when you "change" the wedding date and 13 years go by... don't expect "hun" to be

Really? My jeep wave girl said jeep waves was covering all costs including labor and installation and was working with my service manager. Im not allowing the new plate to be put where my misprinted penny plate is... i want both on my jeep... haven't decided on a spot yet, tho....Ordered my bronze plate yesterday.
Working with Jeep Wave, the process was for me to order & pay for the plate up front and they would send me a reimbursement check. ~$12 bucks.
Now they did say they would not pay for the installation, which is basically drilling out the old plate and riveting the new plate on; however, I have no plans on removing the old plate. Ya never know, I'm not sure how many 392s got the inaccurate plate but it's kinda growing on me having the mis-stamped 'coin'/plate (as long as that's the ONLY thing). It may be a novelty thing that's small talked about years down the road.?.
I'll look into finding a place somewhere within the Jeep to affix the new plate with some double sided tape.
Hmmm... Ya, I probably could have pursued them covering the costs to install the plate, but like you, I really haven't a desire to remove my old penny plate. If I'm to pick a battle that just didn't seem like a good battle to choose and if I really wanted I could simply do it myself. Besides, I already had them replace my left font inner fender as it melted down to where it rubbed on top of my tire, I choose that battle though, lol.Really? Lol... your conversation with jeep wave was prob dignified and mature whereas mine went swiftly downhill into fbomb country when I was told I was wrong about the bronze plate... so maybe fbombs=labor and installation costs! I really should send the poor girl cookies or something.... oh well.... sooooo we wait for the bronze plate..... and wait for the perfect spot to reveal itself!Hmmm... If you find a cool spot for your new plate please let me know, I'll do the same. I don't suspect I'll be getting my new plate any time soon though. It took 2+ months for me to get two new 392 emblems I ordered. I just got them yesterday and I ordered them at the beginning of June.
Careful She might send you some cookies. Don't eat them!!Lol... your conversation with jeep wave was prob dignified and mature whereas mine went swiftly downhill into fbomb country when I was told I was wrong about the bronze plate... so maybe fbombs=labor and installation costs!
