Order status and Jeep chat

I appreciate the updates from everyone here waiting on their build. I just ordered 3/10/2022, no VIN yet, so I know I am in for a long haul. Misery loves company.
You should have a VON and VIN by now. I would check with your dealer. Sounds like your order is not set correctly.

Here’s my status as of today:

Thank you so much for holding, I appreciate your patience. I am showing that your order is scheduled. Everything is being prepared for the vehicle to enter build shortly. At this time we can advise checking back next week for an update. Congratulations again on the purchase!

Is that still D?

Congrats @Lemie123 and Welcome!
(and yeah, it may be a while but you could also end up being one of the lucky ones!)

That is D, yes. D1 is when they have all the parts.

Jeep chat is entertaining at the least. They tell me I am in "framing" but the dealer tells me that I am in D. I think at this point it may not even be worth asking them (Jeep Chat).

So, is there an average waiting time? I ordered and received my Vin on 1/15/2022. What are my chances to receive it before June? Will appreciate any feedback. I got a lot of traveling overseas this summer for an extended time

I’m not sure there’s a way to predict anything. I’ve received an email from Jeep with predicted delivery date and it turned out to be pretty close to the truth. My Jeep was waiting on the railway yard for 3 weeks and eventually the dealer had to send the driver to pick it up though.

What dealer in CO? Where do they have to go to pick it up?

Fort Collins Jeep, they had to pick it up from Denver cause it was waiting for a truck forever. You’re waiting for yours or already have one?

I’ve been waiting three weeks as mine is in the rail yard. They won’t give the dealership passes for their drivers to pick it up.

I have had one for a while, my buddy‘s just got the build sheet today.

That sucks, it seems not to be an issue in Colorado. Maybe you can try to push them a little bit. On a flip side you’re gonna take delivery with less than 10 miles on it probably.

That’s true. I do like the idea that the first 70 miles aren’t highway miles from a dealership employee. I doubt they adhere to the break-in procedures when they’re paid hourly. Also, if I was the driver… the 392 would see 90+ mph because, why not?

Yep, I don’t know, I‘ve asked the dealer and they promised to follow the break-in procedure, but obviously there’s no way to verify if they did it or not. At least it was only 60 miles in my case. You cannot even check the saved top speed on a Wrangler as you can do in Dodges. Another thing is that we don’t even know how in fact important that procedure is at all. Maybe they only make these recommendations to prevent people from driving their new cars like crazy and to avoid accidents. Kinda making them to learn and get used to the performance nice and slow. Considering the fact that RAM doesn’t mention the same break-in procedure in user‘s manual for their HEMI trucks while Dodge does makes me believe this is actually the case.

IMHO... Jeep Chat is completely, utterly, unquestionably useless....
I'm about to go postal.

Figured that it was a week and I was coming off my high thinking I got good news last with the "it's now scheduled and about to enter production shortly" response. So, thinking they may actually tell me the thing FINALLY started its build, I was hoping for even better news.... Nope.

Back to the same "in the scheduling phase waiting on all parts to be available and gathered, when they are your vehicle will be scheduled for production" phase. So basically where it's been since December.

So, will one of you kind folk please pull a Cousin Eddie for me and deliver the SOB in charge of Jeep Chat to my living room... in a big red bow?
