Order status and Jeep chat

Here is my order time line so far….

2023 Jeep Wrangler 392 XR White
Dealer: Online via Granger Motors, Iowa
$6000 off MSRP.

09-06-2022 Order submitted by dealer and confirmed. Received VON.

09-15-2022 Received VIN by email from dealer. Not updated on Jeep website. Still shows VIN as TBD.

10-11-2022 I emailed dealer to check status on their end. Gave them my VON and VIN. Told them the Jeep website is not updated. They replied and said my order was in “D” status. (D Not D1).

I am not sure how long it has been in “D” status.

i am guessing for me about 30 days. i was guessing Nov 1st so i will be close

Nothing but crickets for the past four months. Dealership says they’re checking daily.

they just said moved to D . i see some get built really fast. this one has been kinda taking its time.

Does anyone have a cheat sheet for what all the status codes mean? I thought my sales rep said mine was in "i" status, but not sure if I dreamed that up or not.

I hate to be the bearer of potentially tough news, but I status can be a harsh ride. I was stuck in "i" status for two months. The good news is others have reported they were only stuck there for a couple of weeks. From what I've gathered across multiple forum, "i" status basically means it's built, but maybe missing a part they're waiting on, or it's built, and they're waiting on troubleshooting a particular part that didn't pass the inspection on the way out the door.

• Jan 20th 2022 - Ordered
• May 03rd 2022 - D1 Status
• May 19th 2022 - Build Sheet on CryptoStickers
• May 23rd 2022 - Jeep is "completed build process, but pending further inspection" (I Status)
  ...
  <2 months I status purgatory>
  ...
• Jul 29th 2022 - Jeep Tracker shows BUILT
• Aug 02 2022 - Jeep Tracker shows SHIPPED
• Aug 08 2022 - Call from Granger, jeep is ON THE LOT

I'll leave you with this - my only clue that something had changed was that the Jeep tracker moved from "In Production" to "Built". While you're in "i" status, the tracker will probably just keep saying "in production". At least you can be pretty sure that your jeep, at this very moment, is *pretty much* ready to kick out the door, and it can depart the factory at any time. You might not even know it has left the factory until it hits the dealership!

I did. A few days after the order.

As people consistently state on this site, just be patient. Understood, but for people to have ordered in July with delivery a month ago, kind of stings a bit.

Regardless, I appreciate the site and its members. So much valuable information.

i ordered mine on July 26th, looks the same way. i was called and told by my dealer
it is in D status now. he said 30 days and it should be at the dealer. keeping my fingers
crossed. this tracker is just to stress us out i think.

I ordered 1 day before you and my tracker status is the same as yours. I requested and received an updated POC from Granger on Monday showing I am (still) in "D" status.

Order was June 6, 2022. My sales person is going to pick me up this AM and give me a ride to the dealer. Was a long wait. Going to take it quail hunting tomorrow. ;-)
