Yeah I don't understand the variance between dealers. Many ordered after us with same or similar configs and already have taken delivery. Can anyone shed any light on how this process works and how units are allocated?

I'm not sure how it works. It seems to be an odd random process, but it would be interesting to see if there is some correlation with ordering dealership.

my situation is similar to Arnold's, ordered Jun 2, got a VIN on Jun 7th scheduled Aug 1st, and still waiting in D1 status. I've had 3 build dates mid-August, mid-Sep and October 8th unfortunately no movement. Reached out to see what is up and if they have shifted the date again. I ordered a Sarge XR, maybe it has something to do with color or maybe something else....don't believe it's the XR package as I've seen a few of them coming in to forum members, etc

That is the only thing about these factory orders is you could never find out the reason for delay..I'm guessing the dealer isn't any help

actually dealer has provided the dates but factory doesn't include notes so just guessing on our part. Dealer keeps me in the loop on status changes (usually before the tracker) unfortunately I'm not very patient so the waiting stinks....but hopefully we all get ours soon

I hear ya! Mine went into D1 a little over a week ago and I'm already like "Damn, move to production already!".

Also, I ordered a Sarge XR June 7th or so, but put in a new order for Sting. The Sarge has already been built and delivered back in September. I'm sure that one is long gone off the lot, but just so you know probably not something with paint/color.

Looks like a might be longer than I expected. Getting parts is probably the hold-up. I know the coding of the production cycle but it does us no good if we can't see the action or inaction as the car is up for the build. I was hoping to get the car in before Christmas but keeping my fingers crossed.

i am starting to believe they have no clue. ordered 7-22-22 got the vin# 8-23-2022 and still nothing.
dealer is really no help, and calling customer service is kind of comical. they are so happy that you
purchased a new car but give you the same useless information, which is they dont have any other info.
i would have purchased that Blue 392 Xr but they never responded to me. i am sure it went fast.

Are we talking D or D1. Based on other posts the D1 is hopefully fast but i've seen some folks in D1 status since June so who knows. I'm keeping a positive spin in my head and looking forward to the magic build box turn yellow very soon.

Here is my order time line so far….

2023 Jeep Wrangler 392 XR White
Dealer: Online via Granger Motors, Iowa
$6000 off MSRP.

09-06-2022 Order submitted by dealer and confirmed. Received VON.

09-15-2022 Received VIN by email from dealer. Not updated on Jeep website. Still shows VIN as TBD.

10-11-2022 I emailed dealer to check status on their end. Gave them my VON and VIN. Told them the Jeep website is not updated. They replied and said my order was in “D” status. (D Not D1).

I am not sure how long it has been in “D” status.

Ordered Aug 10th. Jeeponorder tells me I’m in D1.
