Order status and Jeep chat

Update for me:

Ordered August 10th. XR, SOT, Towing, upper graphic, front camera, matte grille, half doors.

I just contacted my dealer. I have a VIN assigned and am 'scheduled', but it's 'C' status.

C – Tentative schedule. Your order is "subfirm". The plant can see the order at this point but it's not fully committed to building as the supplier may or may not be able to get parts to the plant to build the vehicle.

Waiting for the XR parts I'm assuming.

That's what mine has been since June...c status

I wonder if they had the XR parts in June and got the 22 converted orders and an initial wave of 23 original orders done, and now we're in a lull until they get the XR parts they need to keep moving forward.

At least they hopefully no longer are making those high tide editions that automatically took XR parts.

Ordered a 2023 Jeep Wrangler 392 from Granger Motors on September 5th, 2022. Received a VON on September 6th and a VIN on September 15th. The VIN was received via email from Granger Motors on September 15th. The Jeep website only shows order confirmed with the VON and an order date of September 6th. No VIN showing on Jeep website yet.

Yep, the website definitely lags. I didn't check today, but I'm sure it still shows no VIN despite me being in C status.

Edit: Just checked, no VIN on the tracker, but my dealer gave me the VIN today. Who knows how long it's been since it was assigned.

And here's what makes me think they produced all the early June ones and the 22 converts (it's almost like some of the very early June orders were lumped in the with 22 converted orders):

- I ordered non XR back in April. No email after that.
- I canceled (not converted since the April was non XR) and changed that to an XR beginning of June. This time I got several emails from 'jeep brand/jeep wave' and they even sent me a jeep hat in the mail. It felt almost like it was a 'tide me over and treat me right' as if my order was a switch from 22 to 23 even though it was a new XR order right at the beginning of June when the banks opened up for 23 XR, not a 22 converted.
- I decided to switch color (I know I know) and had to put in a new order. I haven't gotten any jeep brand/wave emails for this order. However, my original June order has already been built and delivered to the dealer.

Maybe the system somehow saw I had a 22 order (even though nonXR) and then a 23 XR and assumed I was a converted order somehow? I dunno. Total conjecture here almost more for entertainment purposes. heh.

Out of curiosity - what color did you go from, to?

Have you called your dealer to see if they can check to see if there is a VIN
Yeah, he passed me the VIN via text. Tried to look it up on CryptoStickers and it showed nothing so far.

Sarge to Sting

I had a GCM JKU 75A and I always second guessed not getting Sarge since it was exclusive to the 75A back then. So I ordered that on my 392. After I dwelled on it, I realized I actually just like Sting a bit better and only got Sarge because I thought I should have done it back on the 75A. TMI but yah.

Dude! It is like they cut and paste the response from a bank of answers! They put u on hold, they type in “customer is annoyed with timeframe” then they click and drag the canned answer and then forward it to you.
I'm sure they cut and paste.

Agreed. There is definite lag in the tracker. I do look at Crypto from time to time and use the filters. If you filter just the 392 orders and then the 2023 order dates starting in June, it does seem that there is at least some evidence that they are being filled at least a bit more logically. Crypto is a small sample compared to total orders sold, but I would guess that those who ordered early June should hopefully see D1 within 2 months or sooner. Remember production days were lost due to the plant shutting down also, so hopefully we will start seeing these orders filled soon.
I ordered 7/22 and I am in D status. The wait continues.

Yep on Cryptostickers it looks like they’re getting about to end of June orders in general.

Finally, wait is over!

I always wondered for those who order 2022's got bumped up to 2023's in June but also the cost went up with a new year model and the $70,000 became a $80,000 dollar car. Could the 2023's delays become another $10,000 increase for 2024 year. I do not like the sound of that.

I guess we don’t know what could happen, but we gotta hope they learned from last year. They did 5 months of XR last year vs 3 months this year.

In production. Quicker than expected

Awesome. Glad to see we’re starting to see some movement past the early June orders.
