Order status and Jeep chat

The great part is that none of us need to care what you find "unconscionable." That's the beauty of being a troll... your opinion becomes less valuable with every post. ;) In all seriousness, though, that's the great thing about groups like this, especially for car/Jeep guys. Everybody has their purpose for the mods that they do and the way they configure their car. One package is perfect for some folks and completely wrong for others. What's cool is that FCA/Jeep gives us options like the XR package that is EXACTLY what some people want and they allow everyone else to configure their Jeep in a different way. And if you think that D44 can't handle 37s with 4:56s behind the 392, you're doing something wrong. 40s... maybe(probably) an issue under hard wheeling, but south of that with 4:56s (and a driver who knows what he/she is doing) 44s are usually going to be fine. Again, different strokes for different folks, but having that setup with a factory warranty and not having to have my Jeep down to do the mods after I get it home is worth the 5% premium to the MSRP of the Jeep itself in my opinion.
don’t bother with this guy he is a idiot and should be removed.
not the first time he post stupid comment.

@KungFu392 too unique to a fault 🤪.

I brought up the 99mph because if you own an XR, which is 112mph limited, there is only 1 tire rated for that speed. A 315/70/17 KO2. I hate KO2s. they are low quality and fall apart. So I didn’t want to be stuck with them… and that is the only 35/12.5 spec’d for an 8” rim. The width of the XR rim.

But I am not trashing anything or anybody. Just so much misinformation out there. I am trying to help people understand what they are getting into with some truths… and some opinion :D.

if you are keeping your XR stock, there is a couple of items that you should address by default. Front LCAs, wheel well liners and TPMS adjustment. Probably steering stabilizer too.

So you're saying that your choice of aftermarket products that you install on your vehicles is governed 100% by the manufacturer's specs (or limitations) for the vehicle? You really are one odd duck. I guess that means you also would NEVER drive a vehicle with bead locks on the street... or run aftermarket exhaust... or... you name it. You know how many vehicles I've owned that were capable if speeds much higher than the tire was rated at? LOL... Did I drive them to their limits? Nope... because I'm not an idiot. Do I plan to drive my 392XR 110mph down the highway on the regular? Of course not. 0-100 sprints now and then maybe, but that's not even the point of this Jeep for me. If I want to do that, I have other options in the driveway.

And the things you refer to that should be "addressed by default" also apply to other NON-392 and NON-XR Jeeps. And there are long lists of items just like those that could potentially be subject to being "upgraded" on every factory vehicle ever built. What makes this scenario so special to you that you feel the need to "educate" everyone on their terrible decision to go for it? It's just odd to me and from some of the other respones I've seen here, I'm not the only one.

I’m starting to figure out real quick that stumblingorse is “ THAT GUY” 😝

Wow, ok.
nothing makes me special, just trying to be helpful for new owners.
But to answer your question. I do let specs govern my decisions, would seem like a waste of time and money for a manufacture to put them together if they didn’t matter. Are they an absolute? No of course not, but if you can why not follow them….

the items I mention only apply to the 392s. I guess tpms applies to more wranglers. But not as important. A 392 is lifted more than other wranglers stock, so it has the lowest caster. The heat of the 392 melts the wheel well liners….

Nothing I have said is indicating anyone did anything ’terrible’. Just gave my opinion on a forum Trying to help. I’m out.

I'm not the one who said you were special... that was you (read back your own posts). That's why I asked the question.

But to be clear... and again, reading is essential... in my last response I asked you what made THIS SCENARIO so special... not you, the (392XR) scenario. We've all seen all of the very informative youtube videos on the inner fender wells and the other "Known" issues with this model and just about every other Wrangler out there. It's probably safe to assume that if we're on this forum we've seen and heard all of it by now. THAT WAS (AND IS) NOT THE POINT OF THIS THREAD and the titles should have made that clear to you. But thanks for looking out for us. I don't know what we'd do without your depth and breadth of 392XR knowledge. And yes, that's meant to be sarcastic because the way you dropped into this thread like a paratrooper to save the day with all of your "knowledge" about how pointless the XR is right out of the gate tells me all I need to know about your true intentions here.

Peace.
:)

The whole reason I pointed out @stumblinhorse has hot takes and we love him for it is so that people wouldn't get worked up unnecessarily. I appreciate his takes on things, even when (and sometimes especially because) they're blunt. If you spend some time here, you'll find he engages in many discussions, and that he's not always looking to please everyone, and that's OK.

That's why I mentioned "I'm getting an XR and putting 91 in it" (which is 100% true by the way) - if you check out his history on debating the necessity of 91, and if you look into the many other discussions about the value of the XR package (of which this is FAR from the first), he doesn't just pull stuff out of his ass - he states his opinions and backs them up with his reasoning (take it or leave it). I for one appreciate that in a contrarian!

The important thing here is not to take ourselves too seriously folks. If his attitude strikes you as troll-ish, then remember the age-old internet adage - "don't feed the trolls". Super easy to just appreciate the alternative viewpoint and keep on jeepin'!

Lots of love <3

Update.... May 5th
I was prepared to wait for weeks. I got notified my 392XR arrived at the dealer!!
even surprised the salesman, I think!
Dang that's like what... 36 days from D1 to dealer delivery? That's super encouraging! (Unless I'm messing up the timeline somewhere..)

If that's the case for me, I might be able to pick up my jeep in like 33 days!!

Like I said, to each his own. What one man appreciates, another man finds annoying. No need for us to agree on this (or anything else for that matter). There’s a difference between “not trying to please everyone” and trolling and we all know it. It’s about delivery and attitude. And when attitude changes when someone gets called on their trolling, it’s pretty clear the initial intent was to troll. But again, none of us really need to care too much what the others think is “right” or “wrong” anyway. It’s a big world… it’s ok if we have different viewpoints, right? Isn’t that what you’re saying? So if some of us see the dude as a troll, then let us. We’re all adults. We’re capable of making such judgement calls, just like we’re capable of deciding how to option our own vehicle purchases. 😂

Hi everyone , I’m a little stunned at the pace my order is moving (no added options)
Ordered 3-31-22
D1 3weeks later
Now I’m at a G (trim) status
Can it regress? Am I out of the woods yet? Never really been in them lol ,
Thanks for any input

You’re in the clear… the typical regression is from D to D1 back to D…. Happened to me but folks here pointed out that it would be short lived and it was.

Trim is right before body vendor (JB) where options are added. If you didn’t add anything you should breeze on through.

Awesome!! Still pinching myself lol… glad you are out of your situation …cheers!! 🍻

Got my window sticker today!!!
Congrats!

I don't how you guys do it, but the wait is killing me! LOL
It's only been 4 weeks!
I went and looked at some used ones on a few lots in the area to show my wife.
Sheesh, they want more than what I'm paying for a brand new one. It's crazy.

I went to check after seeing your post and mine is there too! Does yours show your name under "sold to" at the bottom?
