Order status and Jeep chat

2014 2 door JK getting jiggy widdit. 35” tires and 3.21 gears 😝

Who on earth is driving this thing 112mph? I have cars that love that speed. Pretty sure when I pick up the XR (tomorrow!), it will not be one of them …
It's got 470HP why would you not punch it to triple digits now and then? The speed limiter is really about the only thing that bothers me about my PowerWagon and yet, Im still buying the 392... I can "live" with it, but it's not fun.

Quicker and faster are 2 different things, don’t forget. Same vehicle just comparing 33’s to 35’s the 33’s will be quicker to max speed (top of rpm and top of gears) The 35’s will have a faster top speed. Again, ONLY if all other factors are equal. The XR is geared lower to get you there quicker. The gearing also drops the top speed, but the taller diameter gives it back, so it’s nearly a wash.

because the governor is raised on the XR, it’s quicker on the 0-60 because you can run full open hitting 60 (or quarter mile) before the limiter - not the other was around like the non-XR
It would make for a good drag race. Yet to see one on youtube or even read about one. The specs for the inline 6 cy came out and its basically the same mpg as the 392 but w/ more power and torque. I suspect the 23 xr will still have the 392. I think thats why you can order the 23 in June. No solving the earths pollution problem w/ 17 mpg

Finally!!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much for holding. I am showing that your vehicle is in the shipping stage however a Dealer ETA has not been provided. So now what?

Just wait it out, at least it’s built. That’s my line of thinking anyway. We’ll all forget about it once we’re sitting in the driver seat.

I ordered my 392XR on 9/25/21 and finally received it 3/25/22. I love it, but a couple of mistakes in ordering. The dealer forgot to include the trail rail kit (they’re installing it tomorrow), and the half doors didn’t have the “1941” striping to match the full doors (dealer has provided the decals which will be installed & ceramic coated next week). Details, details!! I had a ceramic paint protection applied and the color is beautiful. Looking forward to enjoying this beautiful Jeep!

Looks good!

Finally moved to D1 status today. It may go back to D but I'll stay optimistic for the moment.

Timeline-
3/10/2022: Original Order
3/15/2022: VIN#
4/13/2022: Original order canceled because I ordered it in my business name which happened to have "rentals" in it. This triggered a red flag with Jeep as they said any auto rental customers should go through the commercial order process. It's a property rental business BTW and after many emails back and forth with multiple documents showing the nature of the business they still canceled order.
4/14/2022: New order placed with new VON#
4/15/2022: New VIN#
4/16-5/10/2022: Much complaining
5/11/2022: Moved to D1 status, estimated June ship date
5/11/2022-delivery: Slightly less complaining as long as it stays on track

Got a call from the dealership and my 392 is here (5 months ahead of schedule) and I pick it up at 6pm. I ordered it on 8 April 22. Last week they said it was in build and to call in two weeks, it should be in transport by then 🤣 7 days later it's here. *Happy Jeeper* I pick it up at 6pm EST. 392 Black, tow package, off road cameras, sky one touch top, gorilla glass. When they said they put manufacturing into overdrive to get all orders out by June/July they weren't kidding!

Edit: after reading back through the thread my comment comes off as bragging which is never my intention! It seems like all the XRs were held up for months which really stinks. I hope the push to get them all out in 6 weeks happens for everyone and you get an out of the blue call that's it's there like happened to me today. I apologize if my comment read as snotty.

Hey guys! So I did not do my own build, rather I am trying to grab an incoming/inbound unit. I have one that I have negotiated to buy for 1$ over MSRP and has everything I want except for the XR package which I am OK with If need be, that one is Status “KZ” Released by plant and invoiced. The other one is same as above but has the dual door package and XR package but not sure on the status yet, should fInd out today. Lastly I have a 3rd one that is not the color I prefer (it’s Granite Crystal) I would like Sarge Green. This one has the XR package as well, but is status D1.

My question is what is the final status before hitting the dealer? Is there a step after KZ?

I ordered on April 11th 2022, hopefully some of your luck comes my way lol. I got a sarge green with options like yours minus the sky one touch.

Thanks, hope so too. I see lots of people waiting and it would be nice for Christmas to come for all of us before July for the 22 models lol. Enjoy yours when you pick it up and congrats!

Talked with the one dealer on the Non-XR package one who said it shipped on 4-18-22, but has not arrived at the dealer yet…been in transit for almost a month now... the “hack” on their inventory system that took the system down for over a month is now back on-line but these higher end builds of J392, TRX and other special orders apparently just show up!

Granite Crystal is best color... ;)

But yes, that means literally that all build work is done but it's sitting at the initial parking lot while it waits for a scheduled rail car. Then it goes to delayed for months before the rail car finally gets moving, there's usually a 2nd transfer to another rail and then it will arrive at the ground transfer lot where it could sit for months again waiting for a transport truck to your dealer... :poop:

Or you could just be optimistic and you won't have any wait times for rail/trucks and they'll be the dealer in ~10-14 days. :D

thanks to @Jgc650i

Unscheduled:
BA – order entered in system by dealer
BB – fleet order only – review by bid department
BD – special equipment processing
BE – edit error – coding error which must be corrected before order can be scheduled
BG – order has passed edit but cannot be scheduled regardless of sold status
BX – good order available for scheduling

Scheduled:
C – Tentative schedule. Your order is "subfirm". The plant can see the order at this point but it's not fully committed to building as the supplier may or may not be able to get parts to the plant to build the vehicle.
D – Firm schedule: serial number assigned. Firm order. (This is when you get your VIN assigned)
D1 – Gate line: unit sequenced for production (Get an estimated build date)

Build:
E – Framing. Metal is welded together to form the body and frame. The body is inspected at the end of this step to ensure it's within tolerances.
F – Paint. The metal is coated, primed, sprayed, clear coated, polished, inspected, and hand finished if necessary.
G – Trim. The engine is installed in the chassis, the interior is installed, the chassis is mated to the body, the bed is put on. At the end of this, your new vehicle is built.

Built:
I – unit built, pending final inspection. Your vehicle goes through a battery of shakedown tests and measurements are taken to ensure the vehicle looks and performs as expected.
J – Vehicle passed final inspection but not released to carrier
** BUILD SHEET BECOMES AVAILABLE**
JB – shipped to body vendor. The vehicle is sent off site to have a spray liner put in, steps, graphics etc.
JE – shipped to emissions
JJ – consigned to body vendor
JS – shipped to storage
KZ – released by plant and invoiced. The truck is ready to be shipped. The dealer is actually charged for the truck at this point and can be a source of delay. Typically two statuses here: "Awaiting Shipment" or "Staged for Shipment"

**WINDOW STICKER BECOMES AVAILABLE**

Transit Codes:
KZL – released but not shipped
KZM – first rail departure
KZN – first rail arrival
KZO – delayed/received
KZOA – plant hold, quality audit
KZOB – zone, dealer, sales, vehicle prep, tax, diversion or derailment hold, dealer refusal, vehicle diverted
KZOC – carrier delay, strike-bound, emission or safety hold, rail car shortage, bad or insufficient load, inclement weather, need shipping order, manifest error
KZOD – mechanical failure, glass damage, vehicle in repair, lacking parts or storage hold
KZOE – misdropped or misshipped vehicle
KZOF – shipped air freight, stolen vehicle recovered, show vehicle, test info code, vessel sailed
KZOG – damaged vehicle, stolen vehicle, abandon to carrier, vehicle scrapped, donate vehicle, repair and auction

KZY2 – major damage – vehicle sold at auction

KZX - Delivered to your dealer!

ZA – Order Canceled (either by you or your dealer)

392XR, off road camera, tow package, , doors off mirror kit, Gorilla Glass, Sky 1 touch

11/1/21 - ordered
3/31/22 - D1 (at this point dealer said their system showed a ship date of 4/19)
4/20/22 - G - in trim
4/21/22 - build sheet showed on on Cryptostickers
4/26/22 - built and waiting on additional equipment
4/31/22 - dealer confirms it’s in “KZ S” - no one really knows what this is.
5/1/22 - window sticker shows up - thanks Cryptostickers!
5/4/22 - still in “KZ S”
5/5/22 - randomly shows up unannounced on a truck at the dealer
5/10/22 - I take delivery in South Eastern Massachusetts

Will share thoughts later, but dang, folks are not joking when they say it's hard to keep the RPMs low... Should probably change my profile pic as that car has now been replaced. :)
