Damn, that looks super clean!

Makes me want to ditch my spare too, but I know the second I do that I’ll end up with a hole in a tire that can’t be repaired when I’m stuck in the middle of BFE. 🤣🤣
I’m in the same boat I love how it looks but I figure if I’m going to go somewhere like that I’ll put the spare in the back. I will be installing a storage shelf this weekend so tire under and storage on top if I feel the need.

How’s about a pic of Baja reverse lights
Thanks

Haven’t posted in a while as I havnt had much time to work on the Jeep and it’s been hot as hades here. I still need to install the synergy stabilizer relocate kit as well as the MORE skid.

I am gonna call this the weekend of incompleteness lol. I finally received my AAL inner fenders after months of waiting and decided to tackle them last night. I started with the rear and after I got them installed I found out they only shipped enough twist fasteners for the rear. I am waiting on them to ship more to complete the front.
I have a friend interested in my 37 trail grapplers so I pulled the trigger on the 38 ridge grapplers. I went today to my appointment and they had only ordered 4 after I had specifically said 5 😡 they installed the 4 and I will drop the spare off next week to have it swapped.

Impressions on the rear AAL liners is good. Instructions were crap but other than that they are definitely quality and fit well. A little tedious to get lined up for the quick releases but satisfied for sure.

As for the 37 TG vs 38 RG I did not notice any decrease in performance at all. The TG are 7-8 pounds heavier per tire so maybe that offsets the added size. Also the RG are C and the TG are D. To me with the fender chop and height the size is perfectly proportional. After the chop the 37’ looked small. The RG are definitely quieter and smoother on the road than the TG. I am happy I made the swap just trying to decide which rings to use while I save up for some Innov8 true bead locks.

Really nice looking Jeep all around. You took the time to think through mods, not rush decisions.
I was interested in 37x12.5R17 Toyo Open Country R/T Trail tires until I realized they only come 10 ply in E load rating. I called Toyo to ask if D rating is possibly on the horizon...No...their opinion is the E load is way too stiff and would ride rough. Looked at Nitto Ridge Grappler and Mickey Thompson Boss AT , both a D load range for 37x12.5R17. Then I realize RG also make 38x12.5R17 in a C load range....you obviously know that and are running them.

1. I have a mostly stock XR, do you think I can clear RG 38"s, with Clayton springs you used, but without fender chop?
2. How tall do your 38" tires measure, with weight of Jeep, at 35psi (or what ever pressure you are running)?

Thank you very much! I could definitely tell a difference when I switch from the 37 TG to the 38 RG as far as C vs D.

To answer your questions they are right at 37” with 30 psi. I am not sure but I don’t think so. Maybe do the partial chop and replace inner fenders only and leave the lights and trim? I also think it would look like too much tire and not enough gap?

Installed the Genright AL cargo shelf today. Super simple install maybe 15 minutes. Looks good, adjustable height and seems solid. Also received the Safe Jack 6 ton recovery kit I had ordered. The Pro Eagle Kraken took up too much space for me to be able to put the spare in back when needed..That along with the ARB recovery kit will be going on the shelf once I decide what to strap them down with.

What made you decide on the Genright shelf?
I'm looking at AAL.

Main reason was I like how the Genright was all one piece (well 3 with hangers) but the shelf is one piece. I also I read several instances of missing hardware with the AAL. Not to mention shipping was $201 to me 😳 which made it more expensive than the GR despite the GR shelf being more expensive.

You’ll find lots of use with this cargo shelf. Keep couple of bungee cords to secure stuff too. I always use mine to carry stuff from Costco.

Haha that was definitely a benefit I thought of. That huge pack of paper towels will fit nicely up there 👍

Which one did you go with?

I did a lot research and ended up with the one from WFO concepts. Been very happy except I don’t like the logo cutout. Your GR is the new version, the main reason I didn’t go with it is the cutout holes in the bottom.

That looks great. I want one but that would lead to needing a fridge slide which leads to needing a Goose Gear setup. Honestly, I have no patience and hate waiting on things. If I didn't have to wait 5-6 weeks for the Goose Gear to ship, I would just order everything.

Time goes by fast order it . It will be on your doorstep before you know it 😬some times it just takes me more time to think about what it is I want and then the price just goes up up up. Just saying
