Ted392 Mods

I would think that front to rear dimension change would be miniscule bc of the control arms.

My spring purchase put the ball back in your court, so it's your turn to spend mo-mola!
😂 I’ve got a Zeon 10 s hopefully tomorrow but now I’ve gotta measure for track bars because thanks to someone I know if its 1/16” off it will drive me crazy even thought it was probably that way from the factory but i will have this image in my head. I am hoping the winch doesn’t drop the front much because I will be adding spacers if so as it’s perfect to me now.

My front axle is currently .5" more to driverside. So after I torque everything excect trackbar bolts, I'll adjust it.

Oh, I bought a high mount kit for my Fox ATS stabilizer. More money... never ends! But it is fun.

Got the Clayton springs installed and left the 1" spacers in. Then I drove it. Still smiling. What a difference. It is now planted on the road. I believe the 392 got taller!

Was going to install the stabilizer relocation kit but the suppliedaxle side track bar stud is too big of a diameter by a hair.

So now a call to see what to do.

Great to hear the stiffer coils improve the handling! It’s been on my list since last year. Did you also swap the LCAs with the 1/4” longer ones from the Mopar 2” lift kit? I’ve been thinking the caster angle will need to be increased since the new coils make the front taller. But not settled if I’ll want adjustable LCAs.

I changed the LCA's immediately when I got the 392 last fall. A must do in my opinion.

Great to hear glad you like them and sorry 😞 🤣

What’s this relocation bracket you speak of 🤔

The Fox ATS steering stabilizer can be mounted in the oem position. Or, it can be mounted on the axle side track bar bolt and then clamped to the tie rod. This position raises it up high and less prone for rock strikes.

So, after I installed spring kit, I got a lean that was unacceptable. So I looked around and to my surprise, I inadvertently installed the rears springs Left at Right position. Grrr. So now I just swapped them to the correct location and shes sits level, front and rear.

For me at 35 psi @ 52f, top of XR fender flare, center hub line, are all around +-42.75". So I picked up .5"-.75" by adding the coils and leaving 1" spacers in a 4 corners. Test drive time!

I just use my numbers for my 392xr. Really doesn't equate equally to others. But before Clayton coils, I was around 41.875" to 42.25".

If you ever consider going higher, buy adjustable lca's. I'm done for now on height. Will jump to 37's when these 35's wear out.

For those of you adding the Clayton coils, what length shocks are you going with? I’m looking to do this mod and would like to also add the 2.5 performance elite fox shocks, jut not sure if I need the 2-3” lift shocks or she 0-1.5”. Leaning towards the 2.5”

I spoke with them about this, they suggested 1.5 front 2.5 rear. But I’d confirm with them for your specific application.

I went with the 2-3”

Thanks, I spoke with both Clayton and Accutune, they both suggested to go with the 2-3” option and measure the compression at flex. Was just looking for feedback from those who have done this. I’m running a stock XR set-up with no plan for a winch or aftermarket bumper.
