Rubicon 20th Anniversary Edition Discussion

I've been driving the Level II Rubicon for a few weeks now... It's great. Also, thanks Jeep for basically furthering the factory warranty endorsement of my JL370 :)

Well, this was my plan from the beginning of this year. Get a 23 392 in case no 20th A is released or if they are and I can't get one, I'll still have my 23 392. Gotta admit, I lusted after the 10A back in 13 but didn't have the means to get one then, so I kinda want one of these 20As.

Didn't I read somewhere that there were only going to be 150 20th AEV made?

Exclusive to the Rubicon 20th Anniversary editions and limited to just 150 units, an available Rubicon 20th Anniversary Level II upfit by American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) brings 37-inch tires to the Wrangler for the first time, taking the Wrangler Rubicon’s legendary 4x4 capability to an even higher level. This package is loaded with an off-roader’s dream list of content:

2023 392 has a MSRP starting at $82,495 vs. the 20A being $90,985. Difference of $8,490 between the two. I appreciate the 20A for what it is and think it's a great offering from Jeep to commemorate the 20th anniversary.

Is there anything in the package that sets it apart that would prevent one from getting it to AEV down the road and getting the same things?

I don't know. Need more info. The press release says AEV EX bumper, which I don't like, but the video showed the full size one. And I'm not a huge fan of the AEV wheels they picked. idk if you could make changes to the AEV side of the build though like you can when you send it to AEV yourself.

Agree!

That's a good question. If not, I'd be less inclined to go with it. I know wheels can always be switched out, but I don't want to have to mess with that on a 100k+ vehicle.

Here's a preview look at the 2023 20A 392(XR) Level 2 Rubicon by AEV ;)

Without the fuglyAF grille from the Jeep Renegade, or the ugly red seats / dash / seatbelt.

The EX bumper is the full-width one. The stubby is the RX. There's simply no way that Jeep would release a "factory" vehicle with a stubby (only) bumper due to DOT regulations.

Your wheels are way better than the ones Jeep is offering

Agree. Those remind me a little bit of the regular rubion wheels (below) and I like them better than the gloss black wheels (that remind me of the Bronco sasquatch wheels a tad).

My whole Jeep is better because AEV badging (which hasn't yet been confirmed on the Level II Rubicon) and it doesn't have a grille from a Jeep Renegade. :ROFLMAO:

Agree. They look a little bit like the regular rubi wheels

The ones shown in the release are the AEV Savegre II.

Great looking wheel, in my opinion. A classic.

A thought: I would think they have to offer half doors with these as an option. I wonder since you'll be able to get it in Earl and Punkin if people will be able to get those colors as half doors now.
