So is this hinting the 20th anniversary will be a 4xe?! If so that would be quite the disappointment.
no they’re trying to offload them before they release the kraken and they have to write them off 🪂

I mean I did see GM & Netflix just signed for EV pimping
Give me a break

But I can hope still for …. 3 days it says

I just emailed my dealer and asked them to put me on 'the list' if this is actually an announcement for a 20A.

We'll see. I'm looking at the Recon too so it'll be interesting if this comes out as the 4xe or the 392 or the 6, if this even ends up being some significant announcement of a 20A edition.

392 and 4xe options for the 20th anniversary would be cool imo.
That would be interesting. It would make sense. One for the 4xe which is in the direction they are abundantly clear on going, and one last hurrah for the 392.

If it is a 392, they HAVE to offer XR on it to match what they showed at Easter jeep. If not, that'll just be odd.

So if it ends up being a 392, what do you think it would come with?
37's?
Dana 60 in the rear?
Just another XR would be

If I win the lottery this week, I'll buy one of each.

I just got my 392 earlier this month. I looked seriously at the 4xe, but if they offer it on the 392, I gotta go with that.

Same. We looked hard the 4xe too for my wife but the battery just wasn't practical for her usage. If they can get their range up to Tesla/Ford/GM on a true EV, not a hybrid, that'll probably be her next car.

Like you said earlier, I just think a 392 and 4xe makes the most sense. Which means Jeep will absolutely do something else.

I hope for versions that get our hearts pumping and "blood up". The Stellantis experience over in Hellcat world gives me pause.

You can feel the pain on HellcatForum.org, were I've been a member since 2015. Man, we were all psyched to see the 7 special Last Call limited cars. Same as here, speculation on engines (Helliphant...Pleeeease), suspension, wheels & tires, etc.

Nope...sticker packages and #7 car a way overdue mystery. Price gouging dealerships with speculators lined up (bending over) is this bizzaro world...a sad goodbye to the end of the 2nd MOPAR musclecar era (unless you consider the screaming Banshee EV a muscle car...I just can't).

I found new love and passion in my 392 XR and a great forum here too!
Hoping the 20th is a positive story as the Wrangler lives on where the Challenger/Charger are saying adios.

Lets see, I want to see...392 XR, 37's and lots of bolts on the trim rings, Mojito or Gecko, winch, Dana and gears fed with steriods...

Yup, it'll probably just be a rubi with the 6. lol.

I only live a few miles from work, so the 4xe would make sense for me, but I also travel frequently about a 300 mile round trip. I've been reading that they are projecting between 300 and 400 on the Recon which is why I'm interested. I have a reservation in on a Hummer, but that's right around the 300 mark. If the Recon goes above 350 I'll probably cancel the Hummer. I went with a local GM dealer and I'm suspecting they're going to try to slap me with a huge ADM on the hummer anyway. Another reason I will likely cancel.

That was the SEMA Jeep. The 392 Concept ended up quite a bit different than the production model so I don't think anyone knows what a production 392 20A would look like. I'm still mad they didn't offer red seats for the production 392.
They dropped off the XR package on 392 last year while still offering the package to other trim levels, so I don't have high hopes the 20A will be too special. Winch, on-board air, or another inch of lift are all the things we can do and with more options to choose from. But if the 392 20A comes with even more HP, or beefier axles, or a surrounding camera, that makes a difference to me. Saying this, I love what I have now and wouldn't want to pay extra for the 20A no matter what.

My bet is a Wrangler and a Grand Cherokee, both EVs.

Edit: to add some context, they will undoubtedly use this as a tactic to boost EV sales long term.

I hope they're both wranglers since it is the rubi 20th. However, they did keep it generic and say 'SUV'. Maybe it will both be the EV versions of those. That would be a let down, but I'd still consider getting a wrangler 4xe. Problem is, I wouldn't want to trade my current 392 in on it.

Yea I feel confident it's Rubicon related bc of the 20 years, but they could always make a Rubicon Grand Cherokee for some unwarranted reason. If I'm placing bets, I'd bet on 2 types of Wranglers though. They have my curiosity peeked for sure.

You do realize that the quoted ranges, whether 300 or 400 are like MGP estimates right? Not really attainable in perfect conditions. I read about many real world situations where these cars dont go anywhere near as far on a single charge as the manufactures state. Also going from near full to near drained on a battery of that type will reduce its longevity significantly.
