Rubicon 20th Anniversary Edition Discussion

Still there on both of mine 👀
No movement with production - Was with my dealer yesterday he went in to the system and it shows a tentative 5/15 ship date - Not counting on it and really prefer that they take their time and build these 20A’s with care and quality as that’s what is most important to ME 🤞

“Ship dates” have historically proven to be production start dates.

Sounds about right - Speed of the build is least important to me - Quality is everything on the overall build 🤞

That's awesome! Definitely jealous. I was so dead set on a Punk'n 392XR and missed my opportunity to order one. Was then going with Punk'n on the 20A until I saw the seats. I still think it'd be okay. My kids said it would look like a "hot Cheeto" :).

Can't wait to see your build!
Getting close to the end date, went into build mode a couple weeks ago, as I get closer that 'HOT CHTO' plate is becoming more attractive. LOL

And auxiliary inputs instead of auxiliary switches.

ONLY 52 DAYS TO ARRIVEAL!!! I HOPE.

Really tough to discern the 1/2” lift on these rigs…

Has anyone ever figured out if that is supposed to be in addition to the standard lift on a 392 XR, or is that 1/2” of lift compared to a non-XR 392?

The XR package is now standard for the ‘24 392, so I wonder how the “lift” on the 20A 392 compares to what will be under the ‘24 392?

Until we see a current 392 XR next to a 20A 392, I guess we’ll won’t know anything for sure.

Looks like the 20A’s are starting to arrive…

I've been totally torn since the announcement of the 2024, to keep my 20A order or order a 2024 model year.

This video helped a lot, Thank You!!!

I just can't quantify the 20A with its only real significant *functional amenity being on-board air and heavy-duty rock sliders, when compared to a 2024. And, I'd replace the rock sliders with AMP Power Steps.
(* cosmetic amenities are another subject, I need to focus on What Actually Works! Cosmetics have blurred my mind, till now.)

The updated Uconnect and full-float rear axle alone are enough for me to pass on the 20A.
Very sad though, I've been dreaming about the 20A since the safari last year. Of course, there was a lot more speculation since that time, that the 20A [if it went into production] would have the available features that are available for the 2024.

My only deliberation now... will the 2025 have increased towing up to 5,000. LOL. Never ending bewilderment...

Red interior makes it look pretty much exactly the same as any other regular, non-392 Rubicon. It looks decent, but it's lacking that 392 special character imo.
I think the 24 has totally red seats though while the 20A has red and black. I like the balance of the red and black together. So the 20A is still a little unique in that regard.

I'm guessing if it isn't rated for the 24, it won't be anytime soon. I'd always have the fear that there is a last year for the 8 so I'd probably tend to just get the 24 if it was me.

I know the 20A won't command any type of collector edition type money. However, I'd want it to hold normal value. I thought about how the 24s just coming out will decrease the value of the 20A and the 21 to 23s. But we are also biased on this forum. I'm guessing for every one of us here who pays attention and knows the ins and outs of features per year, there are two to three people out there who are relatively clueless who, even at the price of these, will just say "Jeep plus V8, take my money".

I don’t blame you at all. Strangely minus the 37” KM3s, screen and decals the 24 is actually nearly identical to the 20a show jeep that’s been around forever. (Winch, solid red seats) it’s definitely a closer match than the production 20a.
