Rubicon 20th Anniversary Edition Discussion

Anyone know what a build code of ZGC means? Jeep Tracker (not the Stelantis one) just sent me an update it flagged.

ZGC? That is a new one to me. I didn't know any of their codes started with a Z other than ZA.

The email from Jeep Tracker says it's some sort of sales code and that it doesn't mean much, but their system is able to detect it. I would think it means something with regard to progress on the build, otherwise why have it?

@guruman - your estimated arrival is quite a bit earlier than mine.

We both entered E1 on 3/31, and you show a 4/30 estimated delivery. I show an estimated delivery of 5/17. Either way that's pretty quick. Looking forward to seeing pics of everyone's rides once in the May-ish timeframe.

My original order was submitted about as quickly as it could be done. That may have bumped my ahead on the list a bit... maybe.

one of the items on my build sheet says:
"SPECIAL SCHEDULING CONDITION VII"

Anyone have an idea what that means?

My Google-Fu indicates this is a rush build code. Typically used when something goes wrong with a build to get another completed fast (i.e. fell off the truck during delivery or some other catastrophe). I would speculate all the 20As will have this.

So cool to see these going through so quickly.

Now that the 2024 interior pics and features are out. What are your thoughts?

I thought I’d be jealous of the new 12.3” screen, but after seeing it…nope.

Wireless CarPlay would be nice. Not a must have.

Power front seats are interesting. I wouldn’t need them as I’m good with my manual seats. Howerver, it is a nice addition.

I’ve got a 20A ordered with a tentative ship date of May 9th and basically the option to buy it for MSRP or let the dealer keep it and apply that deposit towards a ‘24, 392. So I truly am weighing the pros and cons of each model, and trying to figure out which one I would rather trade my ‘21, 392 in on. I’ve really been up in the air on what to do.

The electric seats would be nice, but I don’t need ’em, and it’s a Wrangler. I think the center screen is actually too big, and the round vents had to be sacrificed for the bigger screen.

The full floating axle I would be preferred, as would the option for a factory winch. The new front bumper extensions that are required to meet crash test requirements are atrocious though.

The ‘24 392 wheels also don’t appear to be bronze-colored, which is odd to me, although I do like the wheel design.

I still have a few weeks to decide, but the ‘24 392 will be likely be priced well above the 20A, so for now, my preference between the two is likely the 20A.

Wireless CarPlay is no big trick. Just buy an adapter. Several have been discussed on here. It's super easy and not expensive to add it to ANY wired CarPlay radio.

I watched the TFL video this evening and really liked the interior updates. I would definitely prefer the power seats, updated infotainment and wireless CarPlay. It’s flipping stupid that Jeep would come out with this refresh right on the heels of the 20a. I have a 20a coming at MSRP but think I’d rather have a 2024 392 with ER and the interior updates with a discount.

Has anybody tried swapping out the 20th 2023/2024 grill with the old 22’ style?
