Rubicon 20th Anniversary Edition Discussion

Still in D1. I also got the KGZ status from Jeeponorder. *shrug*

Talked to my dealer yesterday. He says he's seeing estimated ship date sometime in May (May 10th or something?).

Anyone switch their outside colors from Bronze to another color? I'm thinking of going all Red to match the interior. I could figure out the decals (will likely ppf and switch them then), but how easy is it to repaint the tow hooks? that's likely all I would do. I'm not into a bunch of accent colors either exterior or interior.

You could just buy a set of red takeoffs...

I am still in D1 as well - No Update - Sting Gray🤔

I stripped my front bumper down this winter to replace the two inside bolts next to the winch, add the Maximus 3 tow loops and paint the original tow hooks. It wasn’t hard to disassemble the bumper itself, it’s just bolted together and you can easily separate the inner mounting brackets from the outer shell.

Just found this as well:

Could probably rattle can them if they're not an exact match. Looks like they don't cover the whole hook, but it would be a good non-committal way to see how it looks.

Also have this:

I'll probably go with those. Cheap and easy. I love the look of sting gray with the red and since the interior's going to be red instead of bronze, I'm gonna go with it.

My only concern with the Chi-com made, no-name, rear recovery point would be that you would have no idea of its strength and/or recovery capacity.

It would look good and likely bolt up fine. That said, I wouldn’t want to be the guy on the other end of that recovery strap.

I've actually thought about the same thing... Since the 20As have red stitching and red accents in the interior, I could see swapping the badges and stickers for something without bronze.

HI All,

I'm new here and I have a 392 20th aniv on order. I have not received the VIN yet. I am wondering is anyone cancelling the orders of 20A and place an order for 24 model with upgraded equipments?

Is it worth it to stick to 20A model?

That choice is up to you. I'm sure people have cancelled to 'upgrade'. Depending on your look at it, the main advantage a 20A has is onboard air. 24 has possible upgraded axle, screen, etc. I'm sticking with it because I like having special editions of things (worked to get a first edition bronco for instance).

You probably have a VIN already. You can check here with your VON:

Thanks for the reply. I don't have a Vin yet.

I too have a 20A order and VIN. Financially it will likely make sense to order a 2024 from a dealer doing discounts under MSRP. You get the upgrades and likely will pay less than the 23 20A. My plan is to wait on pricing and then decide. I don’t care much about the 20A because it likely won’t hold its value any better than a non 20A. Only reason I ordered the 20A was to get the ER package which was discontinued later in the 2023 model year orders.

When will pricing info be available on the ‘24s? My 20A is supposed to be here on 5/15.

I believe they won’t have the pricing unveiled (strategically) until the 20A’s are shipped - After all it appears they are “trying” their best to push the 20A’s through production as we speak, in effort to have them all delivered by the end of May (Spoke to my dealer today and he confirmed the 20A’s ship date “goals” however we will all have to wait and see if they can actually accomplish it - What concerns me most is the quality of the build on these 20A’s coming soon. They better be on par with the 2021 and 2022’s 🤞

That’s a worry I have also regarding quality. 🤞

Can someone check the Pizza tracker and see if the picture of your vehicle pops up? Mine is not showing up this morning. I'm wondering if maybe that is an indication I'm about to get a status update.
