The numbers are limited...JK owner here looking to jump to the 392 20A. I went to place my order today at my local dealer but was told they had closed. Does anyone know if this is coming from Jeep or if they were just out of allocations? Any information on the ability to order one, preferably in the southeast, would be greatly appreciated!
In general it seems every dealer got one or two sold order allocations. If you can find a dealer with an allocation left, you may be able to still get an order through.JK owner here looking to jump to the 392 20A. Numerically, I don't know how every dealer could have even gotten one or two, but to your point, there do seem to be dealers out there on Facebook claiming they still have allocations. I'd search Facebook. If you ask people here, we'll all tell you that we were told that the orders sold out in MINUTES! It seems like nobody really knows. In general it seems every dealer got one or two sold order allocations. I posted above about someone who still had an allocation left. That one is probably gone by now though.
I’m no expert but I did a search and found there are about 2400 Jeep dealerships in the US. This appears to be a pretty popular trim model so it’s probably gonna be a math thing. Just gotta get on the phone and see who’s got an allocation. I know when the Demon came out they were pretty much scooped up in a few weeks, and that was a run of 3000.JK owner here looking to jump to the 392 20A. Well... 2400 x 1 = 2400. Presumably, if he's on the 392 forum... he's looking for a 392 20A. If they are only making 4000 20A total and they are 1/2 4xe and 1/2 392 (which, I suppose we don't know for sure), the math is pretty clear that every dealer cannot mathematically have "1 or 2." I was lucky enough to get one on order, it was probably a fluke I found it.Well... 2400 x 1 = 2400. Presumably, if he's on the 392 forum... he's looking for a 392 20A. Like I said, look online for dealers claiming to have allocations and call them ASAP because even those of us who got our orders in during the first 30 minutes of orders being opened had some question as to whether or not our orders went through.
Bottom line, best of luck! I hope you find one because I think it will end up being a pretty special unit!
I assume that the 4000 allotment is for all three versions combined. Seems like the crew on this forum are probably biased towards the V8 Power. Im just guessing the preponderance of the 4000 will be 392’s.I wasn’t as clear as I could have been. I did not mean allocations for 392s only. But we could possibly assume that if a dealer has an allocation it could be for a 392. I admit that could very well be an incorrect assumption. Again, since we don’t know for sure if they’re doing half and half.
With who?The 4xe seems to be pretty popular though. I really just can’t even guess what the split might be if it’s not 2k and 2k.
They claim it was the 22 best selling PHEV. I guess that’s relative though. It could mean 30 were sold. With who?![]()
Because they "allocated" more than they actually intended to build, which is why they were "first come, first served." If you had an allocation AND you were quick on the draw, you got the order. If not, then not. At least that's starting to seem how it worked. Why would Jeep shut down the order process when dealers had allocations available? I needed a couple days to get my order in line and missed it without knowing it would be over..

Someone on Facebook today had one.The numbers are limited...
each dealer got a maximum of 2 allotted....
I don't know how you'd find a dealer with a remaining allotment (I tried pretty hard), and if you did, I'm not sure your order would go through due to the limited numbers.
Best of luck.
