Rubicon 20th Anniversary Edition Discussion

Did your dealer go through any AEV options with you/put in an order with the AEV portal? A dealer on FB posted a video on Saturday. He was going through the process as he understood it. Part of it involved an AEV portal opening up to the dealer.
Honestly I have no idea. I don't think they do either. They had some forms before the portal went live but the whole process seems like a mess. I think a lot of dealers don't know what they are doing bc the communication from Jeep has been poor. I don't think I'm getting the 20A AEV at this point but I'm ok with that. My 21 is just fine.

I'm one of those who went to the dealer on Thursday and was told "your first in line for our allocation" - was told to come in on Friday to order - my dealer said the 20A wasn't loaded in the system so I came back on Monday. He placed the order around 10A CST for me and I got my VON that day. I got my Jeep Wave email on Tuesday and my dealer called me back with my VIN on Tuesday. I can log in to the order tracking system and see my order.

It sucks for you all that placed Friday orders. I hope they get it straightened out.

I think the regular 20A orders went smooth. It's the AEV orders that are a clusterfuck.
I don't know about that. Mine is not an AEV, it was confirmed 20 minutes after orders opened and.... still nothing. 🤷‍♂️

Mine was a regular 20a..... and my order was placed as soon as the order book opened.

I don't suppose you can re-do that screenshot showing the time/date a little better? Not sure it will help get me my Jeep, but at least it confirms my argument with the Dealer/Jeep.

Here you go. This was when I placed the order on Monday and got my VON.

The dealer did tell me I was the first in line and they did follow through with that promise. When my dealer tried to place the order Friday morning, he couldn't see the 20A package in the system. He checked a few times throughout the day and said it wasn't "loaded into the system". I did have a slight panic moment on Saturday when I saw people posting they had their VON numbers. So I went in Monday morning and we placed the order. I was surprised when I got the email and VIN on Tuesday.

Is there anything keeping you from screen shooting the whole page and then just redact anything you don't want people to see here? Just curious.

I know from experience that calling Jeep about this will likely be pointless. They’ll say “contact your dealer”.

That’s what I was told back when I ordered my 23XR for the few days after order before I got a VIN.

Edit - I get your point...here is the full order sheet I got on Monday. Dealer texted me the VIN screenshot on Tuesday. I can also see my VIN in the Jeep order tracking system.

Edit - also added what I see in the Jeep Vehicle Order Tracking site.

link?

Still nada here.

I went to jeep chat. They didn't say talk to my dealer, but they said my order is still in process and no VIN assigned yet.

Mine is finally showing today! Shows the order was "processed" yesteday, so it took 7 days to process.

Do you know the timestamp of your POC?
Yeah, 2023-02-10 1:28 PM Central Time.
I doubt this time will get an AEV version cause its an hour and 28 minutes after the order window opened. It took my dealer this long to dicuss with me the options. My dealer also emailed yesterday and said their Jeep rep said there are no AEV options to select... eventhough the AEV article said there are optons customers with the AEV Upfit can select in addition to the standard options. I have a feeling no one knows whats going on. I am tempted to just keep my less than one month old Jeep 392 and get it built up by my local shop in the AEV stuff. Probably save a ton of money anyway.

Great to hear! I hope I'm soon to follow.

I'm totally making this up, but I'm thinking mine has the AEV option selected, so maybe they're now going back and getting all the non-AEV ones squared away and are going to go back later and figure out the AEV for those of us who tried for it.

Do you know if they filled out and sent in the three additional forms that were required for the AEV upfit? If the forms have not been sent in at this point, it's not too likely doing so would help. Those forms seemed to be the biggest cause of the confusion surrounding the AEV ordering process. I ordered last Friday. Then on Friday night, I saw a dealer video on fb who mentioned the forms. I called my dealer first thing Saturday AM. He found them in his dealer news (as the dealer on fb mentioned where they could be found) filled them out and emailed them to the proper folks early Saturday afternoon (and included me on the email).

When I was first talking to my dealer about the forms, he mentioned that the 'dealer news' (I guess it's emails maybe?) consisted of 13 pages for him. I say that to allude to the fact that the forms were probably a bit hidden within the emails/news feed that the dealers see. Again, source of confusion.

As far as I know, the process was/is as follows:
1. Dealer chooses the Upfit logistics package on order
2. Dealer fills out the three forms that were in the dealer news feed
3. Dealer sends in those forms (mine did it via email) to Stellantis and AEV
Here is where I'm not entirely sure what happens...
4. A dealer AEV portal should open up for selection of AEV options/those who don't get the upfit are notified.
5. If selected for AEV upfit, Wrangler goes from KZ to AEV to dealer

I hope you're right, brother! It was nice to finally see it come through, but if it took that long for a non-AEV, I can't imagine why it wouldn't take longer for the AEV's. It seems like the whole thing was a logistical nightmare and the dealers were left in the dark... which is not surprising, and not unique to Stella.

The same nonsense is happening right now with the Cadillac Lyriq orders. I have 2 2023s ordered since last May and they just now told the dealers that they won't be making any more 2023s, so they have to convert all of our orders to 2024s... and we have to RECONFIGURE them! What a cluster...
