Problems with the 392 Rubicon

PS My dealer told me they can't fix the issue and that it would be done by end of Aug via satellite download. My suggestion is to not waste time with dealer on this issue.
Has anyone tried one of the wireless Carplay adapters? I haven't had the disconnect issue but my friend did on his 2021 High Altitude and he bought a wireless adapter. Now the problem is gone and no need for a cord between your phone and the dash plug.

I use CPLAY2air on my 2016 and 2018 Jeep’s and my 4Runner. They all work great and each takes only a few seconds to connect on each startup. Will definitely transfer or purchase one for the 392

Hey guys, this is about sharing information and opinions. Two different things. This group is clearly not a bunch of dummies. I appreciate the input and suggestion that this is normal, however I also feel that FCA needs to fix it as a long standing and well documented issue/complaint. I’ll do my part since I have been an executive in a Chrysler franchised dealership and managed dealer groups and business for many years. I’ll share my concerns and see where it goes.
my star case was escalated and I will be notified of a date/time to make the vehicle available for the engineer to look at soon.

Pointed back to the 6.2 trx noise...
Likely going to reach out to the dealership owners and go from there, if that fails we'll tear the exhaust off and go from there.

I have the same noises you all are describing. I noticed it the day I took delivery. Do I like the noise? No, but I don’t think it is a problem rather more of an annoyance. My guess from my experience is that the exhaust/catalytic converter material is thin and allows the exhaust noise to permeate it. I have had the same noise from numerous cars I’ve owned and put headers onto. Also the fact that the Jeep’s sit higher with little to deflect the noise make it more noticeable. I’m going to wrap my exhaust with sound deadening material to see if that quiets it down just to confirm that the exhaust is the culprit.

It’s by design and I need to turn this off, it sucks. I think it’s called park assist. If the door is not shut tight, the Jeep will apply breaks fast and not enable any gear. The worst part is that it doesn’t say what the hell is going on in the dash. Took me a while to discover my door was just not latched tight. I was backing up and wanted my door open too. Terrible feature.

I had the same problem as I backed into my driveway. I thought there was an object I could not see. I got out to inspect, and realized it was my door as it happened as soon as I opened it to check tire placement.

I apologize up front for the length of this post but I trust you will understand after you read through it. Up front I need to let you know I had about 250 miles on my vehicle at the point I encounterd a similar problem in a parking lot meeting up with a friend. Pulled up in front of where he was parked, put my Jeep in park while running. Got out to great my friend then got back in to the Jeep to park it (while running). Put the transmission in reverse to back in to the space next to my friend and it locked up into park, PARK flashing in the center dash display and in the display next to the shifter. Moved the shifter to Drive and attempted to pull forward and encountered the same thing, lock-up and PARK is flashing all over the place. Shut the vehicle down, restarted it, put it into gear with same results. Got out to see if there was something behind me or next to me that might be setting off some sensers and found nothing. Got back into the Jeep, put my seatbelt on, started it and everything worked fine, was able to back into the space I wanted to. The only thing I can think of that prevented me from moving the Jeep during that situation was that I didn't put my seat belt on when I jumped back into the Jeep the first time. Don't recall any alarms about the driver's door not being completely closed but that certainly could have been the case. However, when backing into my garage I routinely open the dirver's door to look back and check to see where my back tire is in relation to the Stopping point I chose but have not experienced a situation where the vehicle imposed a "Park" situation that locks everything up. So question is... what might be involved in creating/imposing this "Park Condition" Door open/ajar, seatbelt not being fastened, a combination of the two or something altogether different. Looking forward to input from those that may have experienced anything like this.

In my case I had my seat belt on and door opened when mine locked up.

Can you expand on this please? I haven't found this on my Taser yet.
I believe it’s when you unlock the Nav in motion, it disables that also. I saw a YouTube video recently and the guy pointed it out. It’s not listed on my Tazer instructions. I haven’t been home to try it out yet but will soon.

My left front inner plastic fender melted down to where it would rub on the tire. (35" tires)
I was in sunny hot Vegas with a 108 outside temp a month or so back and while in stop n go traffic it melted.
The left side does seem to get hotter than the right side due to the exhaust routing.
My dealership did the repair free of cost.
I assume it'll just melt again the next time I'm in hellish heat, but I plan on getting the aluminum inner fenders before too long.

Inherently, most new editions have more problems than the following editions. I understand the 392 Rubicon is not considered completely new as the JL body style has been around since 2018, the engine since 2011, and the transmission since 2014 (at least the generation in the 392). However, the 392 Rubicon is a new trim/configuration and many modifications had to be done to fit all components well.

This thread is to help each other out and hopefully minimize serious issues.

So far, from reading other threads/forums:

The fuses not seated well in some 392s have caused some electrical problems.

Wires too close to heat sources have also caused electrical problems.

As the title says, what problems have we encountered?
My Homelink won’t work at all. Can’t get any lights to flash at all on it. And does anyone know if the exhaust is supposed to hang down on the passenger side?
