Problems with the 392 Rubicon

Ok that's weird mine does too the exhaust is not even, the right pass side hangs maybe an inch or so lower than the driver left side. Any others reporting this? Just noticed it tonight. Thought I saw it a few weeks ago but then checked it with tape measure tonight and prob almost two inches lower. I am a Virgo so there's that, but for all those dollars, it should be straight / even from left to right.
I just posted a new thread about this called Crooked Muffler/Pipes Solved! Using a 15mm deep socket, loosen the exhaust flange bolts forward of the muffler, adjust the muffler until it is level, retighten the bolts, then loosen the exhaust flange bolts on the pipes, make minor adjustments until they are level.

Yup and as of today we got the CEL from hell (our non-oem tpms sensors never could be resync'd so we have new oem sensors on order)
Maybe exhaust manifold? It’s like really loud cricket chirping…even my wife noticed it in idle and shut off the engine haha

Hope the new sensors work out!

Inherently, most new editions have more problems than the following editions. I understand the 392 Rubicon is not considered completely new as the JL body style has been around since 2018, the engine since 2011, and the transmission since 2014 (at least the generation in the 392). However, the 392 Rubicon is a new trim/configuration and many modifications had to be done to fit all components well.

This thread is to help each other out and hopefully minimize serious issues.

So far, from reading other threads/forums:

The fuses not seated well in some 392s have caused some electrical problems.

Wires too close to heat sources have also caused electrical problems.

As the title says, what problems have we encountered?
I noticed coolant on the garage floor yesterday....only 168 miles on her....immediately went to the dealer. Turns out it is leaking at a tube in back of the water pump....a portion of the O-ring (pink) was visible and not seated properly...so much for quality control...

Glad it didn't completely come off and spray your engine compartment full of hot coolant. Now I have to check mine out.

I did get some coolant spray on the passenger side...could have been a lot worse...

The cel from this last week was a hose at the charcoal canister not seated all the way.

How often have you gotten a CEL? I’ve gotten a CEL twice for the throttle controller. Got a check gas cap light yesterday. Gremlins…

I found paint runs in one of my doors and a small bubbling with a chip in another. Dealer service said they will sand the runs until leveled and reapply clear coat. They are not sure about the small bubbled area as they may have to repaint the whole door if the bubbling is all the way to the metal. At least I found the paint defects on the doors and not the body.

Sup guys new to the forum got tired of searching Google for questions figured I might as well go to the source. Anyway has anyone encountered problems with modifications that are ment to fit jl and them not fitting?? I have a 52 inch bar light ment for jl frame and it falls shy or bolts. Also tried replacing inner fender liner with aluminum ones and foot print is off on those.

I can’t comment on the light bar but inner fenders need to be Diesel inner fenders for now. Same washer fluid reservoir protruding into to the driver side front tire well…. Passenger side has a protrusion also I’m told.

Chapter 2 on this problem....the O-ring does NOT want to stay in place after "repair"....now what...another bad O-ring or perhaps a bad tube....back to the dealer...
Don't quite understand...it looks like there is a shoulder on the black tube that should be going further in to the water pump housing keeping the O-ring from backing out....

If someone to take a look at the same spot in their engine, passenger side, kind of below the alternator behind the water pump and verify that the shoulder of the black tube is up against the water pump housing retaining the O-ring, it would be much appreciated....

Image 1 is before repair, image 2 is after about 50 miles after repair.

I don't know if we are looking at the same spot or the angle of the pic is different. I'm looking from the top of the engine. Is this it?

Thanks for looking.....It's kind of hard to see, I attached another picture. The more I think about it, has to be leaking because the metal tube shoulder is not up against the water pump housing holding in the O-ring....wrong part or ???

Definitely has to be inserted all the way. Had to go out. I'll see if I can take a pic when I'm back and engine cools down a bit.

Thanks....I'm surprised the mechanic didn't catch that...kind of basic plumbing 101...

Do we not have a Jeep rep in this forum? I was over on a new WL forum and they have a manned "Jeep Cares" account responding to issues and tracking, We need to get them on this forum as well
