Problems with the 392 Rubicon

My Homelink won’t work at all. Can’t get any lights to flash at all on it. And does anyone know if the exhaust is supposed to hang down on the passenger side?

With engine running, press the two outside buttons on the homelink for about 15 seconds. That resets it.

How much more is the exhaust hanging down?

Thanks! Huge help! I had no idea what the nav in motion function of the Taser was and the instructions don't identify what it is either.

I messed around with it last night and it does disable the park brake function when in reverse and drive with the door open. I’m gonna try it again later today to see if it remembers the setting.

Was able to view another Jeep 392 cold start, can confirm side by side it does not have the noise. Tech rep was able to validate, current discussion is new motor, monetary compensation or buy back.

Tech rep states that he believes the noise squeal is at the valve train and not catalyst related like their letter states. Believes a heavier oil may help, but they do not recommend. Will update with the next step.

Lastly, he states this is going on across the country and it is NOT related to a "hemi tick"

So whats the verdict? Is this noise ( which i find horribly annoying) happening bc there's damage being done or what. Is this a learn to love it noise or a go straight to the dealer?

I think it will depend on the noise and how long it lasts. Mine makes the slightest of squeals on start up, but goes away after it warms up. No need for dealer visit. If the noise persists past warm up and doesn't come from the exhaust junctions, then a visit to the dealer would be a good idea.

Ticking Sound at Start Up.

An excerpt from the owners manual...

NOTE:
Hemi engines (6.4L) at times can tick right after
startup and then quiet down after approximately
30 seconds. This is normal and will not
harm the engine. This characteristic can be
caused by short drive cycles. For example, if the
vehicle is started then shut off after driving a
short distance. Upon restarting, you may experience
a ticking sound. Other causes could be if
the vehicle is unused for an extended period of
time, incorrect oil, extended oil changes or
extended idling. If the engine continues to tick
or if the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) comes
on, see the nearest authorized dealer.

Ok that's weird mine does too the exhaust is not even, the right pass side hangs maybe an inch or so lower than the driver left side. Any others reporting this? Just noticed it tonight. Thought I saw it a few weeks ago but then checked it with tape measure tonight and prob almost two inches lower. I am a Virgo so there's that, but for all those dollars, it should be straight / even from left to right.

Yes, passenger's side hangs about an inch lower. Seems to be by design. The angle of the bends are different between the two sides and the pipes are located crisscross from each other.

My 392 engine sound changed after the dealership made the first oil change at 2200 miles. I'm going to change to a different brand of oil Saturday and see if the engine sound changes.

Thank you! I have other 6.4 and 6.2s and do not have that squealing noise from any of them. Oil change at 5K miles on my Jeep 392 had no effect on the squealing noise.

Im not buying into the argument that it is just "a known problem on random 6.4 vehicles". We have a 2019 srt charger next door and they do not have any noises like this, I am not seeing many other publish their videos with this.
In regards to progress, I received an update today that it has been moved to engineering and I have a case manager assigned.
Link to another video below ffwd to 1:10 if you dont want to hear me talk. At times the squeeling is longer lasting and more pronounced, and it will come back within a few minutes of cooling off (just in time to show your friends and family your big squeeling p.o.s)

Mine makes the sound at startup but it goes away after about 30 seconds if not less, exactly as the manual states. I've never gotten outside after that to listed if there was some very minor residual sound.

I think ours does it as well, it lives in the garage and we have 300 miles so far about 6 weeks old or so. The sound on ours goes away from what I can tell. I'll keep an ear out on this for future updates.

Yup and as of today we got the CEL from hell (our non-oem tpms sensors never could be resync'd so we have new oem sensors on order)

That would be the "hemi tick" this is not the same, similar to the TRX memo, but our Tech Advisor that was sent out doesnt necessarily agree with either of those.
