Order status and Jeep chat

Although I'm psyched to hear from you folks that ordered in March & April that your rigs are showing up, it's that much more perplexing that folks like me that ordered in Feb and earlier are still in "D" status. I ordered a non-XR that's pretty much loaded every other way (including sky-top). It's probably been discussed...but i'd like to know how many of you that are receiving them quickly for whatever reason all ordered from big massive dealers and the factory perhaps gets them to you sooner? I ordered from pretty sizable one in Tysons Corner here in VA, but maybe FCA gets them out to the Chapman's and such faster?

Hell at this point, if I'm still in D status a month from now- I'd be just as happy to get a '23 built in a different color...if different colors are offered (c'mon ORANGE!!)

The one I ordered from my tiny local dealer 2 weeks earlier is now in KZ or some such status... On a train or waiting for a train or something. I think it has very little, if anything, to do with where you ordered it from. Some of those late order people just put their names on orders that the dealers had already placed, so don't be fooled by these "I got mine a week after I ordered it" comments.

I ordered mine from Antwerpen jeep here in Catonsville Maryland. Not sure if they are considered huge, though there are many of them for various vehicle makes around here. Maybe that is what's going on I'm not sure. I hope you get delivery soonest!

I ordered mine (XR) 1/19/22 from Chapman and it’s currently in D1 with an expected ship date of tomorrow. Clearly not shipping tomorrow since hasn’t moved out of D1 in about a week and a half but still in D1 about 3.5 months after ordering so not bad despite the fact they told me it may not get built when I ordered it. Glad I went with them since I’ll be saving a ton of money when it ultimately comes. Hang in there it’ll be worth the wait.

I don’t think the dealer has any control over it nor do I think Stellantis makes any production decisions based on specific dealer orders (only overall # based on allocation, etc.). Hope the POC helps though, more likely due to option differences.

Arrived at my dealer 5/09/22. Nearly 7 months to the day. Yours should be headed your way very soon. The tracker didn’t seem impressively accurate.

I remember hearing months ago that Gorilla Glass was the culprit for a lot of builds and I'm wondering if that is the case. That's the one difference in our builds from what I can tell (besides color - mine's white). Notably the MSRP has increased a fair amount since I placed my order.

The funniest part is the factory is only charging the dealership $12 for 4 gallons of gas... where are they buying that, 2020?

I thought the same thing! I’ll need to hit up their station the next time I’m in Ohio!

Also was happily surprised that my dealership filled the tank the rest of the way. Seems about right that an $80k thing should come with a full tank anyway, right, but I honestly wasn’t expecting it.

Hopefully, you'll make it. You definitely wouldn't have any trouble selling it. Uncertain times ahead for sure, but that is always the case.

The 392 show should get interesting again here shortly. With the 22 to 23 transition, they will have to stop 22 production. If they are truly starting 23 production in July or August like I read somewhere, that is not too far away. So somebody will get the last 22 or the last 22 XR package at some point in the new future.

With 22 orders being stopped, I wonder if there will be a flood of orders for 23 right when they open order banks. I have not seen any ads for 2023 or changes yet, but someone posted a while back that orders for 23 would be opening in June. Interesting times for the 392 ahead for sure. They really are wonderful, amazing vehicles. Still makes me smile every time I start it up and every trip still feels like an "event." So awesome. Happy trails.

QUESTION: All of you awaiting delivery with window sticker…. Does your build show up on dealer website or Jeep.com inventory search? I thought once they started moving, the sites reflected “In Transit.”

Mine isn't showing up on my dealer's website and they do show at least one "sold" Wrangler and one "being built" Wrangler (which is not mine either), so I'm guessing maybe "sold orders" (maybe with deposits) don't show up in online inventory at all.
