Order status and Jeep chat

Yeah, Baby! 392XR #1 is finally BUILT! A little more progress. I wonder how long this "pending additional equipment" process takes? I'm assuming this has something to do with the XR package, but this is my first Rodeo with ordering from FCA, so I have no idea.

JEEP Chat: "I am showing that your vehicle has been built and is pending installation of additional equipment. This is a necessary step when additional features or optional equipment packages are added to the vehicle. Currently no Dealer ETA has been provided.
8:35:52 AM"

Mine has said that for three weeks now. 😂

That’s exactly (obviously it’s just somewhat automated to drop the approved copy in the chat … I know how these systems template replies) what I was told when I entered the weird state I’m in right now. Not holding my breath.

Geee... thanks for pissing in my Cheerios. Honestly, I'm still rooting for my #2 to get built and shipped first because I got it at a better price.

2.5 weeks with "your vehicle has been built and is pending installation of additional equipment. This is a necessary step when additional features or optional equipment packages are added to the vehicle. Currently no Dealer ETA has been provided."

On a side note - I did ask if they could tell me if orders for 392's were closed for the time being. She sai no, she could not confirm, but check with dealer for latest information regarding availability. Two dealerships near me haven't confirmed "to their knowledge" either... so the question remains: WHAT is going on with the ordering process right now???

When did you order yours?

Hello!
Mine has said this for 35 days (5 weeks) today :(
I ordered 10/09.
I am so done with it.

When did you order yours?

392XR, off road camera, tow package, , doors off mirror kit, Gorilla Glass, Sky 1 touch

11/1/21 - ordered
3/31/22 - D1 (at this point dealer said their system showed a ship date of 4/19)
4/20/22 - in trim
4/21/22 - build sheet showed on on Cryptostickers
4/26/22 - built and waiting on additional equipment
4/31/22 - dealer confirms it’s in “KZ S” - no one really knows what this is.
5/1/22 - window sticker shows up - thanks Cryptostickers!
5/4/22 - my dealer just called to say it’s in transit, but when I reached back out for the actual status to see if it had changed, it’s still in “KZ S”

Xtreme Recon? I assume so. Gorilla Glass? (I heard at one point that was holding orders up too.)

Half Doors - Yes
XR - Yes
Gorilla Glass - Yes
However, there are lots of people who have had these exact same options and they already have theirs.
10-09-21 - Ordered
10-11-21 - VIN
02-19-22 - D1
03-07-22 - Back to D
03-09-22 - Back to D1
03-30-22 - Build Sheet (My build sheet even shows "D1 to D Regress")
05-04-22 - Still in "I am showing that your vehicle has been built and is pending installation of additional equipment. This is a necessary step when additional features or optional equipment packages are added to the vehicle. Currently no Dealer ETA has been provided"

So who gives a crap anymore. At this point with 23s starting soon, I'd just assume to wait for it.

Sorry for whining, I just am over it. I am sure it will be worth it, but alas the excitement has waned.

Have to say I haven’t went backwards in the process just painfully slow on each status update.

I too just spoke with Jeep chat on the telephone. They called in regards to my 392 XR order and gave me the option to keep my XR package and roll mine to a 23'. I accepted their offer and they informed me that production is to start anywhere from July-Sept of this year on the 2023s. At least I don't have to look or care about updates until Q3 from this point out. I'll start inquiring monthly again when Jeep production ramps up for the 2023 model year. Patience is key.

Right... there are lots of people who had the same options and already have theirs... and most of them probably ordered before you and before certain shortages. It's the nature of the beast, I'm sure. Doesn't make it easier to accept, but whether any of us like it or not, we're all whining about First World, Rich People problems, so we should try to have a litle perspective. :)

I suspect you're waiting on the doors... and I sort of HOPE that's what you're waiting on because that's the one thing you ordered that I did not. LOL.

I went back and forth from C to D several times over the months. Once it hit D1, though, it didn't go backwards, fortunately.

There probably weren't many that ordered before me :)
I ordered the second day that you could order a 22. First day to order a 22 was 10/08, I ordered 10/09.
There are lots of people who ordered in January and February of this year that have already gotten theirs.
So that argument doesn't hold water with mine

However I do agree with the First World problems statement (although I am not rich, just blessed)

I assume you were in "D" status still? I have no option to move to the 23, as mine is in JB purgatory.
Congrats to you!

I beg to differ. If you can afford the Jeep you ordered, you're rich. Your definition of "rich" is just skewed because of where you live (e.g. the USA).

Also, I assume yours is in "JB" status which they refer to the Vendor Abyss... that's where mine is according to the dealer as well.

I also suspect that even though ordering "opened" on 10/8, there were plenty of special situations where dealers and such got their orders in first. Either way, it seems clear that it's not just a single file line for orders at FCA, so there really seems to be no rhyme or reason other than obvious supply shortage delays for certain builds.

I guess we just wait and see. I don't NEED mine, that's for sure, but I certainly would love to have it to play with this summer.

I guess if you put it that way, then technically I could be labeled as "rich", however, it's all good fortune and a wife who is good with money.

I wish there was a single file line, I would definitely have mine by now.

I do wish I could change to a 23, but I will accept this one very happily, but also depending on any MY23 changes, I may not keep it long.

I hope we both get ours soon:cool:

The big questions should be: how much would this 2023 cost and if you ordered your original 2022 BEFORE January 17th, 2022 will you be priced protected from the $3000 price increase? If they say, it will be a 2023 and it DOES cost more (which likely will be normal 2-3% increase) was that discussed?
