Huge NoLimitz Feature Release (Beta)

They make it much harder than it really is. When you get the message that the program cannot find the Serial Port just click 'OK' (don't make any changes). It will take you where you need to be. No need to go into Windows Device Manger.

When I plug my NoLimitZ into my USB port sometimes I get a short red light, sometimes I get no light and other times the red light stays on all the time. Whatever the light is doing the update works for me.

When I tried not selecting a com port the software just crashed or did nothing. My desktop has 8 USB and USB-C ports on the front of it so I think the software gets really confused and the need for me to use the Device Manager to figure out what to use.

I imagine my Windows 10 laptop with only 2 might be a better choice are what people are mostly using to work with the products.

On my Mac, it found it automatically, even though it said that it would not. I am waiting on a response from the automotive because for me the two are not working together. That is the taser and the no limits will keep you guys posted.

Got email from z. Advised to disconnect tazer and try no limitz. This worked. MDS off. Sport mode works. Did not test other function. There is a setting called IsTuned (off/on) that is not mentioned in the manual. I'm not sure that this is, but it is set to on. Not sure if that is default or my doing. Still emailing with them to get the 2 to work together. Will keep you posted. I did update my taser to the latest firmware and it worked fine with no limitz installed. I think it would work with tazer installed if I didn't access the taser menu.. Gonna try that next. It only freaked out before when I tried to enter tazer menu. And maybe I tried to enter tazer menu while I was in the no limitz menu... Just thought of that.....Plus I was doing all this menu stuff while driving....probably not a good idea there either, but I often access taser menu while driving to get to vacuum gauge or timers

Their video explains "tune mode" but if you’re not tuned, set it to off.

I believe that "IsTuned" setting was mentioned in one of there video's and unless you are going to install a tuned PCM the option should remain off.

Please keep us updated as to both what version of software you load in both the Tazer and Nolimitz, and what your current configuration, ie both tazer and NoLimitz together or only one or the other, this will be a major help!

With all the changes ZAutomotive has been making I think there are a couple of bugs in the firmware that are causing some problems. Keep the faith hardhat,

So they told me to reconnect taser and marry it. So I connected, unmarried, remarried. Took for spin. All good. Reset tire size and tpms with taser...Now cannot access taser menu. No check engine light or christmas tree dash yet, but not right either. Got another email back to them. Waiting on reply. Says Updating.........instead of LIghtShow? when I hit steering wheel buttons. Can still access nolimitz menu and adjust it.

I truly hope this turns out to be something simple and gets sorted out quickly. I am really counting on the Tazer and Nolimitz to be trouble free and able to live up to their advertised functionality, I am already disappointed that the NAVinMotion is broken as it is for those of us with UConnect5. Jeeps that don't start is unacceptable, and we want the light show to happen outside our jeep, not on the dash, lol. Not trying to be terse at this point i'm just disappointed.

Hopefully, they will slow down on all the new stuff and get what is already advertised to work correctly!

There’s definitely a big risk to using beta software, especially on vehicles that we drive on public roads and that we need. But a small company also can’t do the same testing that the vehicle manufacturers can do. That said, I chose to take the risk in hopes of great features. So I’m not mad at them. They’ll sort it out. Eventually. I’m back to the non beta for now. I need my Jeep as it’s my only car.

I have noticed something strange since installing the new NoLimitz (with 24.1.6). I received after the other one bricked The exhaust starts off in quiet mode on restart every time. It used to stay on last setting. Has anyone else noticed this? It definitely did not do this previously

Mine retains previous setting. What I have realized is that it now always shows navigation in the speedometer. I keep turning it off, and when I restart the vehicle , it comes back. It’s possible that it’s a Jeep update and not related to the devices.

I also just received my new unit since the other one got bricked by the 24.1.5 beta. I'll be waiting for the next beta since 24.1.6 seems to conflict with the Tazer. Respect for your courage to jump in and try 24.1.6.

with the engine running, hold the right arrow and then tap the cruise + until it says none, and do the same with cruise - and cruise resume. This will resolve the issue you are seeing with the light show. It looks like there may be a default light show in the button remaps and this should clear that up.

This fixed it for me. Removed button remap. The only one that appeared to be stored was winchmode (resume button). After setting all these to "NoFunction" everything seems to work fine. Even after making this change, winch mode works by pressing l arrow and resume. I double checked that this remap is set to no function, but all seems good now. Can access both devices...mds is off. sport mode is on. Can use winch mode and turn camera (back camp on turn signal) is working.

All seems good now. Running beta on no limitz and latest software update as stated in previous post.

Will keep you posted if I have any recurrent issues.

Everything played nice on the way to work today. No Limitz and tazer both operating properly. Latest taser firmware and beta no limitz. Sport mode on. Gives a few more exhaust pops, but not much else. MDS off. I didn't realize how nice it is to have MDS off. Rear camera on turn signal works. Happy with current setup. Will post if I run into issues.
