@WhiteBronze392 Build

They are in stock right now everywhere it seems. WhenI ordered the 37’s the 38 RG were on national backorder or I would have probably done them then . Don’t want you to miss out 🤣

Installed the front AAL liners today. Much better than none lol. They also sent replacement lights and harnesses to try to get rid of the lights out on the dash but nope! Still does it. Have tried everything I know to try with the tazer also but the harness is supposed to take care of the problem without Tazer 😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬
Install was straightforward just had to modify the lower drivers side bracket due to the Rusty’s track bar bracket covering one of the frame mounting holes.
I realized once I had installed the passenger side I had forgotten to put the aluminum plate on behind the logo so left the drivers side off as well since I was pretty hot and sweaty by then (more ventilation (y)) I will probably install them when I remove the liners again.
If you are installing the full AAL fender fastener kit make sure not to install the riv nuts in the four locations where the upper brackets go. I avoided this mistake I had seen through my research. Definitely buy a $70 Rivnut tool off Amazon. It makes the install soo much easier. I will also cut off the brackets for the OEM fender liners seen in the pics at some point.
The fit and finish of these are great. Did not disappoint. Worth the 2 month wait.

Also received the wireless CarPlay dongle I ordered from Amazon https://a.co/d/aGrvWc1 as well as the apple MagSafe charger. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08L5NP6NG?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share still waiting on the Tackform mount for it https://www.tackform.com/products/m...yxcql5ndr8lWccaF7tO7KRoaRXAx2WU0aArbVEALw_wcB but it holds to the 67 designs mag mount lol
When I decide to tear the dash part I will do a USBC charging port somewhere to hide the cable.

How has your gas mpg been with the larger/heavier tires, compared to stock?

I never checked stock tbh I switched to the 37 TG when it had about 150 miles on it. Even if I had it wouldn’t be a good point of reference as that was during break in so it was babied.

Installed the @redbeard719 platinum series mic holder today 😂 Even with the strongest double sided tape I could find and alcohol (rubbing not vodka) the midland mic mount kept falling off the area beside the grab handle in the heat. Of course I stuck it one more time right after ordering these parts and it stayed put and had to pry it off

Thanks for all of the help! It works great!

Are you having issues with the strength of the magnet on the 67 Designs G3? I have a Bulletpoint MagSafe mount on the 392 but decided to try the 67D G3 on the TRX and that thing is weak. I’ll hit a speed bump and the phone will fall off even though I added the “eyebrow” magnets. I’m even trying out the plate with the hole to allow for charging but it’s still not strong enough. Not sure if mine’s defective.

Hmm no never had it fall off even over some nasty bumps. I have been using the plate with the hole behind an apple leather case on a iPhone 12 and have not had any issues. What case are you using? The thickness may be an issue.

I really like the mount and have no issues except what started me looking to change was that I pulled the case off my phone a few days days ago and the plate was rusting. My phone tends to get wet a lot playing with the kids at the pool. I started to order the 67 designs clamp but decided to try something different.

Edit: a tip : I pulled mine apart to see if I could possibly modify it to fit the MagSafe charger in it and the magnets are at the top and bottom on the plate. Small round ones in a semicircle around the top and bottom edge.

Hell yeah, that looks great!

Nice job and glad I could help. I found the idea on this forum long ago and am happy I could pass it on and return the knowledge.

Thanks. I definitely like that mounting location better

The Tackform MagSafe holder arrived today. It works well and the magnet holds even stronger that the 67 designs mount I believe. I will test it out for a while and decide what to do with the cable if I want to make it permanent. I would honestly like to run it to a power only USBC maybe up top not tied to the Uconnect as it gives the device not supported pop up on the screen. 🤔 any ideas welcomed. Gonna buy a cig lighter adapter for now until I figure out a more permanent solution.

Also rerouted the mic extension cable that came with the Midland 275 around the edge of the console then out beside the seat rail. I zip tied it to a couple of slots at the very end of the rail. Not ready to cut the console yet and this is solid and allows me to easily unplug it.

Found a black MagSafe charger on Amazon which actually seems to have an even stronger magnet than the Apple one and works fine so far. Tucked in the wiring behind dash panels. Working on a solution for power outlet behind the dash. I may just tap of the wires for the existing lighter socket and add another behind the dash out of sight.
