There’s a bunch of posts praising and hating on Gorilla glass on the Wrangler forum. I think it depends where the rock impacts the glass. Honestly the flat profile of our windshields are just prone to getting chips / cracks. I had my 22 w non gorilla for a week before I got my first good sized chip. Now I have a few. I’m waiting for a full crack before replacing it. I’ve been thinking of doing PPF / film on the new one.If the Gorilla Glass is supposed to be so strong, why do many break?
That happened to me with a little over 1000 miles on the clock...$830 replacement.
I inquired about replacing mine with GG, but the cost was ~$1600 vs $830. According to the dealer, GG has a different film between the panes. If the Gorilla Glass is supposed to be so strong, why do many break?
I tint all my windshields with 70%. It doesn't keep it from chipping, but helps with cracking. There’s a bunch of posts praising and hating on Gorilla glass on the Wrangler forum. Has anyone used PPF on a windshield ?There’s a bunch of posts praising and hating on Gorilla glass on the Wrangler forum. I think it depends where the rock impacts the glass. I had the guys that installed my Full Xpel PPF install the Windshield protection film from https://racingopticsjeep.com/ so far so good! I know while driving at 55-60 mph I have had at least 2 hits from rocks/gravel with no signs of damage chips etc....Has anyone used PPF on a windshield ?
2.5 DSC ? Stock Springs ? What changes did you feel ? They are on my list !Got the Fox shocks installed.
Yes, 2.5 DSC on stock coils. Smooth ride, slightly firmer, I sure like it. Originally planned to install with Clayton Performance Coils which I purchased (any takers?), yet, felt this would be much to stiff once I received and realized these are the same coils they use in their 2.5” and 1.5” kits (which I’ve had in the past and felt were overly stiff/rough). I think ride quality is subjective, I’m pleased with how it turned out in my 10 miles of drive time since install.2.5 DSC ? Stock Springs ? What changes did you feel ? They are on my list !

Accutune, not sure on settings for knobs, I didn’t change how they came out of box, I can follow-up on this later. Thanks for the feedback ! They are on the top of my list.
1. Off the shelf or Accutune ?
2. What settings on the Low Speed and High Speed knobs ?
Thanks again !
Looks good. I put mine up in the upper scoop trim out of direct sight. Only thing you can see is the reflection. However can't see anything in daylight. Yours can be seen in the daytime.Had to join the club…smoked lens on the scoop lights.
You can see these pretty well in the daylight. What’s funny is that I have a red strip exactly where yours is….for showing off at the mall etc. I connected the TRX lights to AUX 4 and set the switch up for latching, on with ignition and recall last state. So I’m able to turn them off when the street glow is necessary.Looks good. I put mine up in the upper scoop trim out of direct sight. Only thing you can see is the reflection. Also with the switch set up like that the TRX lights come on with remote start. You can see these pretty well in the daylight.
