🛠️ What did you do to your Jeep 392 today?

AAL made their own bracket to work with the Synergy quick release. I was thinking about fabricating the bracket on my own as a fun project, but ended up giving up that idea and bought the set.

I was also going to make a bracket for a similar mount. Ended up using 2 rivet nuts and retained the plastic trim.

Look awesome! I decided not drill because I heard the JL sport cage is 14 gauge steel of very thin wall even though hardened. I may try the Rivet nut idea later.

I wouldn't do it again but once started there was no going back. It was pretty thick, about 3/32. Super hard, it was melting titanium bits. Cobalt was the only thing that cut it.

First mod went on. Not really one to brag about but replaced the whip antenna. Have a hot heads liner to put in but in this weather just no rush.

Haha yes I need some warm weather for a nice douche of the garage. I finally bypassed the stupid electric eye sensors and that was enough of the cold and rain.

Finally got these Smittybilt SRC Side Armor steps installed so I don't have to lift my 7 year old into the Jeep every time we go somewhere. Did it myself and took far longer than anticipated, mainly because the instructions were trash, but I'm very happy with the results! Love seeing what everyone else is doing to make the best Wrangler ever even better.

Question, first jeep here but what exactly does this do?

They are just stronger versions than stock, but the drag link connects the pitman arm to the knuckle and the tie rod connects the two knuckles together so when you provide steering input the wheels point where you want to go.

Made an appointment to get 4.88s installed next week. Would normally do myself but getting old and lazy.
Also got a line on some OEM XR wheels/tires so that should be happenin soon as well.

Installed Falcon steering stabilizer then 2 weeks later added Hellwig sway bar and rock hard muffler guard. Damn that sway bar upgrade is a major improvement in how the 392 drives and handles……strongly recommend that upgrade. The steering stabilizer was a good add on and would definitely recommend……but the Hellwig bar is a proverbial slam dunk!

I just installed a Metalcloak rear diff skid. Now I don't have to worry about peeling the rear diff cover back when I misjudge or have no choice running over a rock.

Clean install. Are those hardtop tie down loops stock or where did you get them? Tie down points are always a premium nice job.
