🛠️ What did you do to your Jeep 392 today?

I have just a rope loop and soft shackles on my JK, so far no problems. I carry a fid so even if I do break the loop I can tie a new one in just a few minutes. So no steel on my winch lines.

Someone makes a winch line with a soft shackle threaded into it. You you do a locked brumel so you could probably do that.

Got my plates finally today, lady at the office pulled out the plates and handed them to me... last three digits 932 ... so close!

Showed my wife and she said... uhh, that's just dumb :ROFLMAO:

I rode around naked with my girl today, after installing the Carolina Metal Masters mirrors.
I thought my JK with 5.7 was fun naked… this lady is on another level!💪🏼😎

I’ve been thinking about getting the same kit. Saw pics that you can keep the tow hook with the shackles. Would it be too hard to knock out the tow hook studs and enlarge the holes?
You could easy enough I think. Can def order with the longer bolts to keep hooks.

Installed GPCA cargo cover with the optional storage bag. A bit of a pain to install because you have to remove the cargo area side trim to install the brackets, at least for the Sky One Touch Top anyway. While I had the trim off I started the install of the Hothead Headliners Full Floor Sound Assassin sound/vibration dampener. Very easy to install once the trim is out of the way. Only done cargo area so far and need to pull front/rear seats and carpet to install the rest. Will do that in next few days. Will follow-up post on how effective the sound dampening is or not once I have the full install done. Also swapped out the front speakers for a pair of Infinity Reference REF-3032CFX.

I used a similar sound dampener in my LJ and did not even cover as thoroughly as you and it made a huge improvement.

Thanks for the advice. A picture would be awesome if possible. Thanks again.
As requested, here's a pic. I need to replace the right-side screw/washer that is holding the bracket in place with the proper OEM screw once I have a chance to pic one up, but otherwise this is th final install. The Power Interrupter for the winch and the relay for the lights are both attached to this bracket.

Wow that TJ is beautiful, and that 4.0 is a legendary engine.
Appreciate it. I love my 392 but that TJ will always be my baby. Reminds me of times that weren't so good and keeps me grounded. Told my daughter she has a better shot of getting my 392 one day than that one lol. And yea it's bullet proof but I'll be honest and say it feels like a Flinstones car after driving the 392. It just won't goooooooo.

Picked her up!! Drove the first 800 miles myself because I wanted the break in to be perfect and I was so amped on it. Finally passed off helm command to my copilot just as we passed through Denver.

Still another 600 miles or so to go!

You’ve put on more miles in one day then we’ve put on ours in a month... good job...
watch out for the animals passing through the Rockies...
Yeah it’ll get about 1700mi on the drive home, then probably around 3k/yr after that, so it’ll balance out 😎

One thing I haven’t heard many people talk about that has impressed me significantly is how good the adaptive cruise control pairs with the 392. Pick a speed, let it fly, it brakes and accelerates in a perfectly spirited fashion when it needs to, and otherwise does an excellent job of keeping a really reasonably-paced cruise! Maybe it’s just because I’m coming from a JK, but damn this thing is amazing, and even though I didn’t give a second thought to the more modern features when I ordered, I’m amped that they’re there, and that they work so well. I’m super super pleased with how awesome it is to drive, and how it handles!

Yeah ACC works great in the 392, it was great in my 18 GC TH too, absolutely sucked in my PowerWagon though.

I drove it for an oil change only for the lady to tell me its a 3 hour wait even though I booked an appointment. over a week in advance. She tells me 5 cars are in front of me. What are time slots for? The world today is fixed on premium price for subpar service. When people come to me it always premium service for a premium price. There is no other way.
