🛠️ What did you do to your Jeep 392 today?

I found this stuff to be pretty much the same as what I got from HotHeads. I only did this much in my LJ and it made a huge difference. I did not do any of the lowest part of the tub because if I get caught in a rain storm with no top I don't want it holding water in. I do think its pretty important to roll it as flat as you can get it.

Like probably so many of us, during the time I was waiting for my 392 to be built and delivered (5 months for me) I built a pretty sizable list of planned mods and accessories, some big many small, while trying unsuccessfully to be patient for actual delivery. A lot of what I chose was influenced by this forum, for which I'm very appreciative. I've been wrenching on my Beast on and off as schedule and procurement delays have allowed since I took delivery back at the beginning of July. I've been posting on this thread as I go and appreciate all the great feedback and support along the way from all of you. . . sincerely, thank you all for making this such great forum and community. A big Jeep Wave to you all! ✌️

I knocked out a few more this afternoon and I'm getting very close to being done with my mod list, just a few more to go (if one can ever really be done wrenching on a Jeep - ha ha). Looking forward to shifting the focus very soon to just enjoying the hell out of this incredible toy in all it's glory!

Today I installed the leather dash panels, a full set of TuxMat all weather mats, and the new "performance" wiper kit. I am really happy with the dash panels. The pics I've seen online and my own don't do it justice. It looks so good in person, really makes the interior pop matching to the other leather trim, and I'll say again should have come this way from the factory on the 392. If anyone else is considering the leather panels and on the fence, I highly recommend them. I also liked the Tux Mats even more than I thought would, especially in combination with the new dash panels. The whole interior in my opinion and taste just really ties together so much better now. Again, the pics don't do it justice, but here they are. I didn't bother taking a pic of the wipers since others have recently. I like them and am glad I got them, but to be honest I admit it was a frivolous expense for no other reason than the cool factor! ;)

Which dash am is that?
 
Can't really comment on that as the 35's were installed before delivery. That said, typical shit jeep steering, tires wanted to follow the road ridges and crown. Looked cool though.

Do you have the part # for both dash pieces? Looks great!
 
I'm going on a wheeling trip in southern Utah in a couple of months. The first day has 10 scheduled trails which is going to be a long day which made me think about gas. Here is my solution. Two 3 gallon Rotopax cans.

Great weekend up in Pigeon Forge! Came back home early Sunday and commenced installing some items that showed up on my door step. First was the rear seat covers from Bartact. Note - if you ever want or need a good workout, get these covers and put them on when it's 90°F out. Very happy with the results.

Next was the Stinger Heigh10 (plus the kit for install into a JL). Very good instructions right up to the point of stuffing all of the wiring/cables/connectors when securing the unit to the dash. There is minimal room behind the stereo modules to get all of the cabling in so you can secure the bracket to the dash. Nonetheless...it was completed. I bypassed the OEM Alpine amp and installed a 5-channel Alpine (Alpine S-A55V) amp:

Also, I replaced the soundbar and front dash (tweeters) speakers with Alpine as well.

All-in-all...I couldn't be more pleased with the Stinger Heigh10 and the sound quality. I might change out the sub at some point, but for now it works perfectly. The Stinger retained all but a few features I had with the OEM 8.4" head unit. A few things that stood out to me:
  • Sub remains on when the SOT is retracted...big plus!
  • Multi-band graphic equalizer which makes it easier to set up the sound the way I like to hear it.
  • Richer sound with the 5-channel amp
  • Very clear picture with the front/rear cameras
  • "Off-road" page is very detailed
  • Ability to add additional cameras (side cams, undercarriage, etc.)

I lost some cluster display features (compass, clock, phone/nav pop-ups), of which are not important to me. I, also, do not have a few UConnect features any longer (Remote Start/Lock/Unlock, SOS/Assist, WiFi Hotspot). I never had any intention of using those anyway, so no big loss to me. WiFi didn't work anyway.
