🛠️ What did you do to your Jeep 392 today?

So today I started the Armorlite flooring install. Everything taken apart, seats loose, carpet out, etc. started to put the floor in and quickly realized… I ordered the JK set lol. Luckily this is not my daily driver. I just bolted the drivers seat down and put everything in the back. I’ll ship this back and reorder. Fun stuff.

Traded it for a TRX. After driving both back to back, no regrets....except maybe when it comes to gas fill time!

Found the louder exhaust button (ie soft top) and went with a frame bolt on rock rail with step.

Uwharrie opened a few weeks ago and I was finally able to go off-road!

Even though my youngest son doesn’t turn 16 for a couple more days, I let him do the honors and be the first to 4wheel my 392. He repaid me by saying he likes driving the Polaris RZR better. 🤨

Despite his heresy, we had a great time. Especially listening to the HEMI growling as we powered up the steeper terrain!

Installed a pair of Rigid 360 4" amber's on the front and wired them into the #4 aux. switch. Work great, but need to align them better.

Also...installed an Airlift 1000 kit.

Routed the air lines to the back of the Jeep and installed a Schrader valve in the plastic insert for the license plate. Full disclosure - what a pain in the butt it was to install this kit (@justinB...you were right!). Deflating and inserting the bags into the springs was a breeze. Connecting the air lines while managing the two "pucks" that sit on top of the bags, AND lying on my back with the Jeep rear-end in the air, AND trying to place the smallest air line clamp known to man on the fittings with a pair of pliers (oh...by the way...you cannot see the top of the bag while you're doing this part), was a major test of patience. But, finished it up late Saturday afternoon and it works as advertised.

All that lying on my back crap made my decision to get this ordered:

Should have waited for that lift to install the bags.....:). I wish I could have a lift.

Ouch! Ya, a pain, but good job gettin er done! I taped the pucks in the highest position I could so I could finagle with the airline connection on the bag a little easier. You can see remnants of the blue tape in the pic. I also put a fine coat of silicone on the brass fitting to help the airline slide on a bit easier.

I wish I had a lift!!!! Maybe one day when I grow up, lol.

How do you like the MAXIMUS-3 JL XLP HOOP so far?

Love it! Not too big...not too small.

Funny note for you guys - when I was purchasing the Rigid lights I, of course, was getting ready to select the clear lenses. My lovely (and awesome, BTW) wife suggested the amber lights because it "closely matched the bronze accents on the Jeep".

I married WAY above my paygrade...

@RugbyRef - I noticed you also have the front trail cam in the grille. Does the Maximus Hoop block / interfere / come into view of the camera? Thx!

No sir! I asked the very same question before I bought the Loop and someone posted a pic on here showing just that. I'll see if I can find it and send it to you...unless one of these fine folks on here can do that.

Why would you want to go back to stock?
Because 37 tires are for wheeling which will most likely mess up your $90,000 toy. Put the 37s on the side. Its like wearing new sneakers. Once they get scuffed they become rain shoes.

It's still a dream in the mind of the Toledo assembly line but I ordered a Bestop Twill Sunrider for Hardtop from Northridge4x4 today to avoid the reported cost increase coming up soon. Already shipped, I guess the wife is getting her anniversary present before she gets her Jeep... :ROFLMAO:

So far:
1. Removed end caps on steel bumper.
2. J&L Oil Separator
3. Grab handles
4. Ordering NRG 35s
5. Short antenna
6. Door Sill Entry Guards
7. Protective floor mats
8. Going to detail and ceramic coat her

Took it on the obstacle course at Jeep Beach today. I honestly don't know what I'm doing with it, never really took my TJ off road outside of some sand trails, but it ate up the course. Pretty easy when you can just hit the gas and it climbs anything. Probably went too fast over the tires but it just bounced over them. Only issue was I went over the seesaw too fast and the logs popped up as I exited and slammed into my bumper. The bumper itself was fine but the logs caught on the plastic plate insert and ripped it out completely so I rode home with no tag at all lol. Going to order a new one, looks like it just pops in.
