What did you do to your Jeep 392 today? 🛠️

@Anayanation Auto: YT - to add on to what @Viking Jeeper posted for the link to the skid plate; the picture in the link does not show a 392 dual exhaust, but that is the correct skid plate. I know, because he sent the link to me and I ended up getting one for my 392. The folks at Rock Hard are very good at responding to questions as well.
Thank you and will call them to place order and get military discount. Appreciate it!

Tested this out on my wife’s JL before I do mine, not perfect but good practice. Bought the Bulletpoint phone holder but dont want to lose the factory insert.

Cut the ribs out of the inside and traced that washer. I will trim the bracket, remove the thick adhesive tape on the bracket, add some thin adhesive tape to the rubber, and I think it’ll be pretty good. Maybe use a Drexel to clean up the cut, and cut mine when I’m ready.
Inspired by you, I did the same. Had to enlarge that hole a few times to have a nice fit.

I got rid of the grey inserts on the front grill/lights. Bothered me from day 1 along with the Jeep emblems on the sides and the 392 hood hood emblems. I had custom side badges made with matte black and gold. I got the grill insert from Just for Jeeps, it’s a Mopar paintable item. I just left it matte black. Hood emblems next, changing the grey to black. It’s the little things…RockKrawler X Factor ordered several weeks ago with Fox 2.5 DSC reservoir shocks…springs

Really appreciating your attention to detail - looking super good @BenLandry !!

Installed leather dash panels. Take about 1.5 hrs. Pretty easy overall. They match well and give they keep a more upscale feel. Took 3 months to get them from Mopar Backordered. These come stock in the high altitude I believe

Looking great! I had this question about the airbag: https://www.jeep392.com/threads/would-dash-decal-prevent-the-passenger-airbag-from-deploying.1199

Does the leather dash on the passenger side have the airbag behind? Where would it deploy from?

I got my 392 stuck in richloam with a buddy who was using a 96 land cruiser with just a lift and 35s. 392 could barely keep up. Also I’m at 17k miles, anyone have a higher mileage 392?
Love seeing folks willing to get their 392's dirty. You're probably aware already, but I'm guessing it was mostly tire that was holding you back. Lift helps but swapping from A/Ts to M/Ts if you're gonna be playing in that kind of muck is gonna be the best bang for your buck.

Looks great!

Is that the Warn low grill guard? I had one on backorder for months and finally arriving today.

Yes. Airbag fits in the same way. Dash panel is scored on inside so it breaks open. If airbag deploys the panel breaks into between the stitch seam and flaps open. Airbag comes out in middle. You just transfer air bag from original panel to new panel. It is an OEM jeep part.

Thanks for confirming.
