🛠️ What did you do to your Jeep 392 today?

This is wonderful! I've been following this thread and focusing on the mods/improvements that can be done to the 392, but didn't realize that letting our family members feel/enjoy the ride is another very rewarding part. Taking a spin with the parents in the 392 is absolutely making me jealous. I can do this with my kids but will never be able to invite my parents...
My 72 year old dad, who had a badass CJ 5 when I was a kid, got into my 392 with the doors and top off. I floored it while merging on to the interstate. He put his arm across my chest to hold me I guess like he used to do when he was acting like a jackass with me and my brother in his Jeep. He went and took another blood pressure pill when we got back home.

Oh man what a memory!

Today I added my Ham and CB radios plus the TRX GPS.

Hey Scott,
Here is a pic of the DXL PRO Floods I swapped out… they are awesome out back on my JL.
I decided to put the DSS PRO Floods on my Subaru OBW and they are super bright and throw out a ton of light especially in the Colorado snow!
Text me directly if you have anymore questions?✌🏼

Well, @byhumba and @RugbyRef you just cost me over $600 in tailgate table and muffler skid. Thanks!
I have the rock hard 4 x 4 muffler skid ready to install and the outback adventures tailgate table on order. Cant wait to get them on.

I tried launch control for the first time! The acceleration was unreal even at altitude. And I've had some very fast cars over the years. This felt like ever bit of those off the line.
As long as I've been on here I should know this and I have had my 392 for almost 2 months. Exactly how do you do that?

It is activated with brake and throttle depressed together. It takes a moment for the tone to change on the exhaust. This will be your indication that you're all set. It does seem finicky as the first couple of times I tried it, it would not work.

Trailgater table looks awesome and I’d love to buy it but I have a Trai’ll Rail Management System. I guess they won’t work together? Which tailgate table would you guys recommend? I don’t wanna loose TRMS.

Get the first oil change done ✅

Installed the Redline hood struts and a pair of grab handles on the roll bar next to the driver and passenger. Also, straightened out the exhaust (thanks @hardhat) and then installed a Rockhard muffler skid-plate designed for the 392.

Are you happy with the hood struts? I’m looking at a couple different brands. I know the 392 is heavier than a normal rubicon, so wondering how they are holding up.

As @BenLandry replied...they are fantastic! Per the instructions, I had to do a little trimming on a metal tab on the left side of the engine bay, but other than that they were simple to install. Was at Jeep meet n' greet last weekend and several of the folks there specifically commented on the hood struts and how it was a common sense install. I have the Redline struts on my '21 GMC Sierra 3500 and on my '21 GMC Yukon. Those are the same struts as the Jeep, so that should give you an idea of how they handle the weight of a hood.
