šŸ› ļø What did you do to your Jeep 392 today?

I didn’t even get my Jeep yet and ordered new running boards and new antenna. And I have a ring for the third brake light in the middle of the wheel. My last Jeep I had so many People stop me and tell me how much they love the third light
I have the same on my JLUR. I will do the same when my Sting Gray arrives. I would like to ad Red accents to it...Wonder how that would look with the Bronze..

Also installed some key hole covers from santiscaps. They don’t allow key access but don’t require adhesive (fit snug around the key hole housing) look slick in my opinion and make the side profile visually appealing
Mine snap on easily and can be removed easily without using any sharp objects. :) They are probably not necessary, but knowing I’m keeping out sand, salt and water makes them worth it IMO. Here’s the Etsy link:

Takes as much lag out of the accelerator as you want. Sport plus is too much but sport 0 is perfect for me. You can dial it in to your liking. 36 settings. It Bluetooths to your phone so it’s easily tweaked. You can even tweak it at a stop sign. Not recommended to do it on the fly but every time you stop you can. Super easy install
How does the PC in sport mode compare to Off Road+? After the discovery of off road + and the bump it provides, I’m questioning the need/want for a PC.

Really 2 different functions….the PC doesn’t change shift points but it absolutely quickens the response of the 392, when you think ā€œgoā€ it goes, no lag. And like I said too much is too much so you can dial it in to your liking. Off Road+ is even more fun with the PC. OR+ changes a little of everything but I don’t want it on all the time, although I do fly around town in it quite a bit. I guess it’s hard to explain but the PC just seems to shorten the time from brain to accelerate. When I think go…it just flat out goes. OR+ doesn’t give me that satisfaction by itself. I’m not trying to sell the PC at all, but it does make a difference on this Jeep. Just one more thing to love about it I guess.

If you’re wanting to know what exactly throttle control devices like Pedal Commander do, here’s an earlier post of a great video explaining how they work. And yes, they do actually make it ā€œfeelā€ like it adds HP though they don’t.

That’s exactly what I suspected and you confirmed my thoughts.
The OR+ is similar in function to sport/track mode in my GC SRT.
Sport felt as it should in normal, and track was a lot for every day.

There was more programming capabilities in the GC.
Seems the PC would bridge that gap.

Thank you!

I installed a Quadratec Flashlight Mount for my 3-D-Cell Maglight. Note: Quadratec offers both the mount alone or a mount + flashlight combo. I ordered the combo but was not satisfied with the quality of the flashlight, so Quadratec agreed to take the flashlight back for a $20 refund. The mount is high quality, very easy to install, and is positioned low enough that it won’t interfere with things you may have stored in the door ā€œpocket netā€. Also pictured is a portable LED light from Quadratec that attaches via velcro straps around the roll bar and can be quickly removed by pulling on one of the two tabs securing it to the mounting straps. I also mounted an ELEMENT Fire Extinguisher to the driver’s side roof panel, knowing I will rarely remove either panel...and, if the Jeep catches fire and I can’t escape, I guess I can fight the fire while I’m sitting there :). The fire extinguisher only comes with one clip but I found a distributor for additional clips. I liked this fire extinguisher so much I installed one in the glove box of my other vehicle.View attachment 1542
Do you think that the flashlight mount would hold the element extinguisher? I was thinking about putting it on the driver seat as no place would be faster to access in an emergency.

This is where I have mine attached with velcro for easy removal. I will take it off when driving with half doors or no doors in the city.

I put the black key hole covers on today to cover the chrome old school door lock. Love a good cheap 2 second mod.

Good to hear! Just wondering why Jeep went with that sort of key access hole in the JLs to begin with when they could have done the same thing they did with the GCs and put 1 key hole in the driver's door handle.

Smaller key fob that doesn’t open in the pocket and a 12k lbs. winch.
Yes, I’m that guy who bought an $80k jeep and installed a Badlands Winch. The last one worked for the entire time (6 years) that I owned my jeep. 😜

Had to make a bracket for the battery cut off switch.
Those are absolutely my first two mods. Key fobs are ordered and the winch is in the garage waiting. I even have the exact same Badlands Winch. "Great minds think alike."

Dude, I’ve used my badlands for off-roading, moving round hay bales, loading trailers, and getting the tractor unstuck. Mine has been a tough mofo for about half the money so the 392 is getting one too.
Same. I bought one for my JKUR, and never an issue. used it many times.

Added this winch and hood struts. Next comes the retractable steps from RSE which are on a 10 week backlog and also some 37's but unsure if I stick with the stock wheels or not.

Oh and I added the clear side markers in place of the amber ones upfront.

Loaded the ARB Fridge/Freezer, first aid kit, Moebulb roll bar storage bags, fire extinguisher, recovery gear and tool box that used to be in the JK Recon that was traded in for the 392XR. The Moebulb bags don't hang as well since they were designed for the JK but still serving their purpose.
