🛠️ What did you do to your Jeep 392 today?

I found out I have an oil leak at 5800 miles... LOL Well It's not the oil filter, and looks like its coming from higher up on the motor, but being everything is so packed, I cant really tell. Off to the dealer it goes next week.

I actually installed the Sanctum console charger from leather seats. I purchased it for my last Jeep but never installed it on the Rubicon. Thankfully they did the red for 2024 392. It matches perfectly and works amazingly well. Love it, especially with wireless car play. Highly recommend

I really like that. and for me having kids with phones, more charging locations is better LOL

568 miles on the Odometer ...Changed out the factory "break-in" oil. I will send off to Blackstone. Changing the oil in the 392 is so easy. When I reach ~6 months, I will take it to the dealer to do the change so I have a record for warranty purposes. Only difficult part was the taking out the Oil Filter. Oh, at the factory filter was installed by someone from the world's strongest man. I had to take wrench to it and it got ripped up trying to break the seal to remove it. Also, The hose just to the top and side of the filter scares me. There is a chance to accidentally rip that...if the newbie tech doesn't know what he is doing. Oh it was pitch black, but that is not a true indicator of the oil's condition.

Outback Adventure tailgate table installed. It’s stupid expensive for a table but a real nice and well built piece of USA made gear.

That's very nice! Which size charger did you choose?

37 and falcon shocks
Nothing but good things to say about those Falcons.... Are those the TF Olympus beadlocks? If so, you liking them thus far? Nice looking setup....

I chose the standard size which is just big enough to hold the iPhone 14 ProMax. Any bigger you will need the xl version.

Great! Exactly what I wanted to know. Thank you!

Swapped out the stock coolant reservoir for a 2.0/2.2 since it’s black vs clear. Not a direct swap but it’s fairly simple. Have to trim the metal mount some and extend the hose to the return a bit.

With the black coolant reservoir, how do you check the level visually?

Also curious what’s the purpose of the fabric wrap of the steering fluid reservoir?

Just a cut sock to make it black vs clear. I also do it on brake reservoirs sometimes for spills/absorption plus it looks better than clear imo.

Finally was able to get on the shop's schedule and this is what happened!

Set of 37x125017R BFG AT KO2,
Set of Icon Alloys Hulce 17x8.5 -6mm Offset
TeraFlex CT2 Alpine Suspension (Actual lift height is 3.5" which is a full inch over the listed 2.5", not thrilled about the extra inch),
Falcon SP2 3.3 fast adjust shocks,
Falcon Nexus EF fast adjust steering stabilizer,
TeraFlex Alpha HD Tire Carrier with adjust spare tire mount,
Z Automotive Tazer Mini, and
N-Fab steps to help me get in it. Self installed last two items.
That's it for now.

Nice build. I have the Teraflex Alpine RT3/Falcon 3.3 setup and love it. I will walk obstacles that I am think "no Jeep can make it through that" and my Jeep just walks it. I also went Adam's driveshafts. Did you keep the stock?

Thank you and good to know it's a capable set up.

I did keep the stock driveshafts. No issues so far with the extra height. I did contact TeraFlex to discuss the extra height. They requested I let it settle and then if still too high, they'll send replacement front coils for the 2.5" JT diesel front and a 1" shorter rear coil. We shall see what happens.

There was a lady on here that ordered the exact kit I have and hers ended up a 6 inch lift. Mine was 3.5 on the dot. I would venture to say that my shop just knows what springs to order for the 392. They did mention that the spring perches are higher on the 392 vs all other JLs so they end up higher. They probably just called mine a 3.5 lift because they knew it would end up close to that.

I did chat with her a bit about her experience. She said they offered her basically the same solution. I doubt mine will settle a full inch but I'm willing to wait and see.
