🛠️ What did you do to your Jeep 392 today?

There's a surprising amount of space right there. I made a bracket for that same location for my Warn power interrupt for the winch.

Oh, and thanks to you I have some KC Cyclones on the way. When we hit Moab a couple years back, I noticed how valuable they would be with how dusty it is there.

And I grabbed a second set with clear lenses and magnetic mounts to install as underhood lights.

I swear...just when I thought I was done spending money...

Just starting warm up and get nice here in MN. So it was time to get the top off.

Finally got Warn Zeon 12S winch installed using factory bumper, Maxxis winch plate, Maxxis filler panels, 2024 Jeep factory fairlead, Warn control pack relocation kit, Stinger 500 amp relay triggered by factory Aux 4.
Plan on having a plate made and powder coated to cover top of winch where rope is exposed.
I do like how low of a profile the winch mounted after removing and remote mounting control box.

Also added 3/4" plastic coil spring spacer on top of front springs to level Jeep back up from added weight. Worked out perfect.
Along with Mopar 2" lift, slightly longer, lower control arms. Did require alignment to correct for out of spec toe-in from factory and had to adjust to recenter steering wheel. Drives perfect.

Also had Amp Research XL power steps installed, along with 3-position switch mounted in driver front side kick panel.
Also used a OBDII port pass-thru harness to keep main OBDII port open.

Question for other Amp Research XL power step owners..... does drop of set look correct?
I thought it would have been lower after reading the description on Amp Research web site. Stated it drops 4" lower than other steps?
Is that just because the housing bolted to frame is lower/thicker or are the drop arms supposed to be longer?

LOWEST DEPLOYED STEP
PowerStep XL Running Boards drop 4" lower than the other PowerStep boards, making them perfect for lifted trucks or vehicles with higher ground clearance. Also, most stationary running boards rest 1-2 inches below the body and are often too far from the ground for many passengers.

Maybe it means that it’s “their” lowest deployed steps as in AMP. They use the term PowerStep to describe their own products.

I have them on my TRX, RSE on my 392
I have RSE as well on my rock custom LJ. Went with Amp, for now, due to wider step and smoother operation. My 392 is currently used as a run around vehicle and light trails. I know what it takes to build a safe & reliable rock rig with 42"+ tires. Hope guys that are hitting the harder trails have a full roll cage with harness. I've witnessed some bad roll overs in the last 20+ years of rock crawling.

Anyone having issue when trying to mount cover plates behind factory LED fog lights?
I purchased a set a of metal flat cover plates a year ago and just got around to installing. Mine contacted with back of plug for factory fog lights.
Would not bolt on without crushing wire in back of plug.
I've seen so many on this forum install the same ones, are you just forcing them on against fog light plug? (2023 XR)

Any chance mine has odd light plugs?

i just your post in the other thread…so they are UDF, mine sit just at the wires. Not crushing them. The gasket fills that space. That gap looks wider than mine tho.
