🛠️ What did you do to your Jeep 392 today?

Yes, I attached the Amber Backlight to Aux-4. Unfortunately you have to run a separate pair of wires (included in the box) to power the Amber Back Lights, which requires that you insert the pins into the lower left corner of the Deutsch Connectors.

You’re going to light up the whole damn County with LP4s and LP6s!
Thanks. Maybe not the whole county but I would be stoked if I could melt paint of the tailgate or trunk of some of these crazy SoCal drivers. I also have LP4 spots for the A pillars. I made some carbon fiber blinders to block the inside lights from casting on the hood. Hoping it works, light on the hood bugs me. I like the dark look like your pics. If I install as planned I am out of aux switches and will have to do the backlights off a drl source although the option to turn them off is appealing. Might have to add a switch panel.

Looks like a clean install. Did you use the Baja design's mount for the front bumper and their wiring harnesses?
Yes. It’s a solid mount. Using the supplied harnesses was the easier option, maybe not the neatest option as I ended up with plenty of slack in one leg of the Back Light Y-Harness; however, it’s hidden in the trough under the bumper.

Just picked up my 392 today! Stopped to get lunch…. Came back, and I got ducked! 56 miles in. Nice!

The same thing I’ve been doing for the last 6+ months, track it…

At least I get to see everyone getting their 2022s… 🙄

Received my wheels. Currently out of town. Flying home tomorrow and have an appointment Friday to install the wheels and tires.
Hey buddy. If you want to keep your photos from “tipping over” when you load them, I found if you save them first before attaching, they stay upright.

I like this key fob but you can’t use the key “flip-out” feature on your Jeep key fob. I thought I would rarely need that feature; however, now I need it every time I gas up because I purchased the MOPAR locking gas cap and keyed it to my 392’s key.

The key fob in the photo, although not as rugged looking as yours, allows for use of the flip-out feature. They come in different colors. From Amazon:

No problem
I gave that some thought but haven’t used my keyed portion in nearly a decade. I just didn’t like it popping open in my pocket.

I had the same problem -- key popping open. With these key fobs it doesn’t happen anymore perhaps because the button doesn’t stick out enough, even with a relatively thin cover. I liked these covers so much I got them for my daily driver as well.

Looks nice, good job. Are you lighting the backlights with one of the aux switches? I have my LP4's and LP6's mounted but not wired up yet.
Please photos and instructions on your install if you get a chance. My plan is to install LP6s (White driving combo) on the center of the front bumper below a Maximus 3 SLP Hoop, and then LP4s (White spots) In front of the A pillars at the base of the front windshield. I was also going to order Amber covers which can produce somewhat Amber light for off-road dusty situations. I'm especially interested in your fixed to avoid glare off the hood as this is something that Baja Designs mentioned in terms of avoiding mounting the LP4s in front of the windshield.

Thanks very much for your efforts!

I am out of town but returning today and I will get some pics. Just started wiring them up. On the covers check with Baja Designs. I thought I read that they don't recommend lighting them up with covers on due to heat. I did temporarily light up the A Pilar LP4's and I am pleased with blocking I di on the inside/side leds. I get just a little glow around the edges but not on top of the hood. I asked BD about the heat covering the sides and they said it shouldn't be an issue that they have seen many cover them up. Are you intending to use the low and high beam on the LP6's? Also are you planning a winch?

I saw these door lock plastic caps on etsy.com and said to myself, “why not protect my manual locks from salt, sand, water, ice, mud, debris?” They snapped on easily and firmly. Installation time: about 2 seconds per lock.

I was able to get some stick-on vinyl key hole bezel covers from Underground garphics https://www.undergroundgraphics.com that work very well and look great.
