Installed the Fox ATS through shaft [aka Bangshaft]steering stabilizer last Friday. Having one arm the jeeps usually have me sawing away at the wheel on the highway. The 392 in stock form wasn't that bad tbh, but this smooths it out.
Yes I do my own work, yes it takes a lot longer and yes I make up new words... oh and yes I dropped the ARB diff cover on my head once.

I like them. No complaints here. I tow a fairly small camper on occasion and I personally feel a difference in stopping power vs stock. How to you like those brakes, almost put them on my gladiator.
What is the difference between the stock arms and the 2" lift ones? How much longer are they? I'm guessing they are somewhat longer and that would be why they would drive better, right? Changing the caster angle.Installed Mopar LCA from the 2” lift kit. Other members have done them and reported a massive improvement in how it drives. I will concur with this assessment. If you’re looking for a cheap and easy / straightforward install I highly recommend them. So far they’ve been the best cheap mod I’ve done.
The install is a breeze if you unbolt one side at a time. I did the drivers side first. I did the front axle end and jacked up the frame with my Badlands Off-road jack to line up the holes for the rear. Once that one was in, the passenger side was a breeze and didn’t require any adjustments. The whole job took 20mins with an impact gun.
I actually didn’t measure caster before or after I did the swap. Obtaining a little more positive caster is what most folks have reported. There’s a bunch of threads on the swap on the JL Wrangler forum. I do know seat of the pants driving it’s a lot more comfortable and requires far less steering correction. It’s a very cheap mod with good results. I did the Fox ATS steering stabilizer a few weeks prior and had a far more limited change in handling dynamics and how the Jeep tracked on road. The two mods together have made quite the improvement. I highly recommend both.Do you have a caster gauge and can you measure where you are at, the stock caster is 4.3 and going to 6 degrees makes a big difference. I just bought a full set of Metalcloak lower and upper control arms to use for now until I can afford springs/shocks.
So glad you posted this. I actually forgot I had a set still in box. I ordered after so many positive reviews but hesitated to put them on because the arms in my LJ were a real bitch to line up.Installed Mopar LCA from the 2” lift kit. They are all heavy no matter how high you have to lift them! For the other tires I ended up jacking the jeep to the exact height I can get the top stud on at an angle then pumping the handle so it hangs there and can push it on. Works best with two people.Simple maintenance of 5 tire rotation. Damn that spare is heavy.
Ha, I consider myself strong for an old man and I struggled getting my 37'' spare on my 4" lifted 392.Simple maintenance of 5 tire rotation. Damn that spare is heavy.
