Rubicon 20th Anniversary Edition Discussion

It's also possible that my guy did have 2 and told me he only had one. :) He's a good guy, but I mean, he is a car salesman. :ROFLMAO:
Truth. I never worked with the guys I bought from today but they were really cool down to earth guys, but a little part in the back of my mind is always saying to me "Don't trust that thing they just said!".

MSRP, better than the $10 to $25k ADM that other dealer was asking for at least.

360ish million dollars in revenue in 10 minutes... not a bad afternoon.
That worries me a bit. Now Stella will see that and say "Hmm, people want these, we'll do all of it except the stickers from MY24" and then we have the same thing that happened to the 10A.

Seems like they are pulling the 392 from all of the other vehicles... I don't expect to see a MY24 392... but maybe.

I guess since the Jeep can qualify as a "truck" perhaps they can keep a V8 option another year, but a know a lot of us are kind of banking on the fact (hope) that they won't.

Take off the panel and send it to Distinction Applied. They can change it to bronze and it will look factory.
My dash is already painted Sarge Green by AEV... It looks way classier than the bronze by Distinction Applied, in my (not always) humble opinion.

Dealer called back and they can add sky top now. Pushes it over $100k before adding aev package. Starting to think this is dumb.

I'm oddly excited about the red leather dash. I do not like the color red, but I really do like it on the Rubicon dashes for some odd reason. I hated it at first and by the time I sold my 2020, I missed it when I realized the 392 dash was painted grey.

I wouldn't add a Sky One Touch top if it were free. I think it's the worst (and most overpriced) option Jeep has come up with in years. But then again, my Rubicon stays naked 6 months a year.

Agree to disagree. You’re talking apples and oranges… hemi swaps and stretched Jeeps are WAY different from the minor bolt ones that this “level II” is getting. Those jeeps would bring more money even without the AEV name on them. Also, the real question is are those AEV up fitted Jeeps actually bringing MORE than their original total price? I don’t think so. Especially not as long as AEV still exists and will still take my money to build my Jeep however I want it.

I believe it will be different, so I’ll be ordering mine without the LEVEL II. The beauty of it all is that you can order yours with it if you like (assuming that your dealer gets the order in quick enough).

It's not apples to oranges if you put your reading comprehension glasses on.

I did't compare AEV Hemi-swapped Jeeps and stretched TJs to anything but their comparable peers on the market, and certainly not the 392 Level II.

I've also already got my "20A" 392 "Level II" (2023 392XR JL370)... Sans a couple "20" stickers, the horrible red interior, and "Wreneglade" grille.

My original plan was to go with the American Adventure Lab's ARB single mounting solution for the cubby hole below the cargo space.

A nice companion to this mounting solution is to install their Compressor Remote Kit. Key benefits are 1) it utilizes the space below the cargo area that isn't accessible when loaded with gear while still provide easy access in case you need to get to it, 2) will aid in baffling the noise of the compressor, and 3) will do a great job of protecting it from the elements. Potential con is heat build up. I know my ARB compressor gets HOT after airing up my 37s.

Having done their ARB Twin cubby kit w/ aux battery & remote kit in my 2.0L JL, I will advise anyone with a 392 to do their new underseat mount instead and use the cubby space for gear or one of their aux battery solutions (there are 2 such AAL solutions for the 392).

Ugh... here we go. I'll pass on the attitude today, brother. I'm not going to engage you. Not today.

Too much cowbell in that bumper…with lights added I don’t know how the 392 breaths.

Congratulations on being the 679567587th armchair automotive engineer to comment on the lights blocking airflow.

Air moves like a fluid, not a gas or a solid. Check out a book on fluid dynamics. Here's a hint... water moves like... a fluid. If you could drive the Jeep underwater, would you bet money that the bumper and lights would significantly reduce the amount of water that got through the grille? I'm a betting man, and I wouldn't touch that bet.

AEV did a shitload of aerodynamic testing on the bumper and lights to ensure there were no issues.

Oh, and that hood scoop is functional, too, ya know?

If you're not going to read my posts before responding to them, you probably shouldn't respond at all.

Dude... What's with the attitude?

I read your post... I was correct in my response. I get the impression that you're just having a bad day and this is how you "kick the dog" without "kicking the dog." So be it... so long as we're keeping you from actually kicking a dog.

I think you need to drop the attitude, but I suspect that comment is just going to make more act more like a jerk. Go drive your "20AE AEV LMNOP" and relax a little bit, man.

Dude... What's with the attitude?

Speculation from armchair automotive engineers that think they know better than a company that has OE-collabs with two of the Big 3 gets old, that's what's with the attitude. I could have completely paid for my Jeep with the money I'd have if I had $10 for every person that comments about the lights and hoop blocking airflow.

The fact is... they don't even move the needle.
