New Z Automotive things coming

It's just too easy to put the Jeep into OR+ mode and drive around and not have 4cyl mode (MSD) activate. Compared to taking the AC out of the dash and glove compartment apart to install Tazer No Limits. Sometimes I will run around in OR+ but really not usually.

I was just at my Jeep dealer getting that free oil change and free 5 tire rotation. I did the 1st oil change myself at 800 miles and this one at 3600 miles....anyway talking with various service guys they do not care what mods are done really...including Tazer. They and myself really doubt the Tazer will do anything to harm the engine as it is not changing spark and air fuel ratio etc. they said just remove the Tazer and No Limits when bringing the Jeep in for warranty work or service. Personally I do not want to take the dash apart to remove No Limits if I need to take the Jeep in for warranty work. Ive seen the install of the Tazer and it's easier but I still do not want to have to go through the process of unmarried Tazer and so forth.

HOWEVER they advised me that the warranty is really with Mopar and not the dealer. If something happens MOPAR can and will void power train and electrical warranty if the ECU is tampered with (fooled). More and more vehicle manufactures are blaming down on mods not manufacture approved to how the power train and electrical operates on the vehicle while under MANUFACTURE warranty.
Probably my most posted picture.

I’ve been looking at their website looking for what gains they are getting with there set up. Any insight?
What he said when I emailed them earlier in the year

Here is the 4 stages of 392 performance we offer, in the stage 4 package you
would be looking at a 110+ gain. Stage 3 usually nets around 100 pending
prior mods and such. That's what I run on my 392 here at the store

Z automotive website website states the no limitz device does the following:
  • Disables speed and torque limiters in 4 low
  • Disables torque management system/traction control
a) I didn’t realize the torque was limited in 4 low. Does anyone know how much this is limited?
b) what impact does disabling the factory torque management system have? What does the factory torque management system even do?

I believe torque management is a fancy name for traction control / stability control. Cuts out torque when wheel spin is detected… also known as an electronic nanny

This torque management could be helping you in 4Lo and also saving your transmission and transfer case.
A friend of mine was wheeling in his 392 wrangler this past winter and had significant issues, not being able to use full throttle on a snowy slope. Other vehicles that were able to rev up their engines were able to make it up the grade where he had problems. He said it was not able to go over three or 4000 RPM.

Ahh got it…thanks

Received my NoLimitz today with a supplied USB cable.
I don't see an option to check firmware on Zautomotive site.
Guess it's ready to go, out of the box?

Edit: I got text conformation back from Zautomotive that NoLimitz is good to go out of the box.
No estimated time line for firmware updates at this point.

Mine is out for delivery..... I think it's more simple than the Tazer.... basic it's "on" or "off" functionality. Not a lot of options or even a user interface, so maybe nothing to update?

I received my ZAutomotive no limits today and the install was very straightforward and it is an on or off only mode. There are no other settings to adjust. Just finished taking it on a test drive and no more MDS/four-cylinder which is the main reason I got it. I don’t care about the speed limit removal, but the other thing I’m really looking forward to is the traction control and rev limiter removal when in 4 low.

Got mine in as well. No real issues, except a broken piece of the PCM star connector. I guess you have to press the screwdriver INTO the gap to release the hidden clip, then pry it out of the slot. I managed to not break the lock though, so it still clips in just fine.

My pics of the star connector did not turn out, but here's the power connection to the HVAC panel.

The install was super easy and took maybe 5 minutes, unless you're like me and forgot what colors to look for on the star connector.
