Kill Switch

It seems the IGLA system is highly used as is the Revalco. I don't have either. Might want to investigate them for a permanent solution.
I installed the mobilistics relay today. Not sure how they could get around that other than towing once the rugged ridge locking latches go on.

That said im still looking for igla or ravelco as a second layer and will disable the tazer pin if I go igla with pin. I want security but don’t want to have to press 3 buttons enter 2 pins and plug something in every time I start it 🤣 I hope one of the combinations is good enough so it’s no more than two steps

Good luck with the relay. It was totally undependable for me. I returned it.

What do you mean by undependable? Didn’t stop it from starting or wouldn’t start when you wanted it to?
Wouldn't start quite often. Very frustrating. The remote didn't work but there was no way to know, so pressed it again and then still wouldn't start. I had the fuel pump circuit relay. Nearly wore out my starter and battery and my patience.

Thanks I will keep everyone informed if I have any issues.

I also installed the Mobilistics relay, I took a little bit to get used to but works great so far so good. I also use the taser pin, as well as Lojack and 2 apple tags. Lol, I know what can say I’m paranoid and it’s in the garage with a Nest cam on it. So I sleep well at night knowing I have several layers of protection. 🙌😜😆👍

If you keep your Jeep in a garage make sure the remote control for the garage door is turned off for the night since it can easily be cloned. At minimum remove the emergency rope since it's so easy to access from the outside.

Forgive my ignorance on the matter…

Is this something marketed for the TRX?
It is a kill switch harness a guy on the TRX forum sourced parts for and builds. He sells them for a reasonable price. Pictured of course is a TRX start button but the harness works just fine for a 392.

Got a link to where he sells ‘em?

Just Curious - Wouldn’t this stop a thief from simply driving off with our 392’s so quickly / I am in no way an expert and extremely concerned at this point and looking for several options - Thinking this might be the first quick option as I research a higher level of security for this vehicle further….

The Club 1100 LX Series Steering Wheel Lock

Adding: I know if they truly want it bad enough they will find a way to steal it - just looking for steps to make it more difficult, cumbersome and a time consuming project for these scumbags!
Or something like this. Every bit of security helps and it's easy to store.

Thanks for the idea. Im decided on getting the fortain harness.

Just have some questions. I am guessing the red wire is the power wire? The green stripe wire and the red stripe wire that gets soldered together. What do they do? Why are they solder together?

One is the push to start connection in the switch, the other might be the indicator light. I never verified their use. But if you disconnect the the manual kill switch while 392 is still running, you cannot turn it off until you enable kill switch and then push button.

been thinking this situation over, I suggested a trailer break away switch previously because it doesn’t look like a conventional toggle switch. How about a keyed switch. It adds one more step to the process, and makes it so a car thief cant just flip a toggle switch and be on their way, and if you routed the kill switch wires through a solid wire loom you could then fill that wire loom with potting compound making it extremely difficult to just cut the wires and twist them together to bypass the switch.
