June 18, 2024 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - Don’t roll the credits just yet. The Jeep® Wrangler 392 - the quickest and most powerful Wrangler ever - is roaring back for the 2025 model year by popular demand.

“When news broke in March that Jeep Wrangler 392 was roaring off into the sunset, the comments, coverage and conversation showed us that the Jeep community isn’t quite ready to say goodbye to the V-8-powered Wrangler,” said Bill Peffer, senior vice president and head of Jeep brand North America. “Jeep brand listened and will continue the 392 Final Edition into the 2025 model year.”

2025 Jeep Wrangler 392 is the quickest and most powerful Wrangler yet, featuring:
  • Class-exclusive 6.4-liter HEMI® V-8 delivering 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque
  • 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds and the quarter mile in 13.0 seconds
  • Standard 8,000-pound-capacity Warn winch, 11.6 inches of ground clearance, 34.5 inches of water fording, heavy-duty rock sliders and more
  • Trail Rated capability in any condition with Selec-Trac two-speed transfer case, intuitive full-time four-wheel drive, heavy-duty wide track Dana 44 axles with Tru-Lok electronic locking differentials and electronic front sway-bar disconnect

The 2025 Jeep Wrangler 392 Final Edition will continue to offer much of the standard equipment found on the 2024 392 Final Edition, including:
  • Exclusive hood and fender vent decals
  • Black Nappa leather-trimmed seats
  • Specially monogrammed shifter medallion and swing gate plaque
  • Standard 8,000-pound-capacity Warn winch
  • Half-inch suspension lift
  • Heavy-duty rock sliders
  • Mopar fold-out swing gate table
  • Standard Xtreme 35 Package with bronze 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels and 35-inch BFGoodrich all-terrain tires

Thanks for the heads up @258_T18A!

Plus all the stuff where suddenly SoT isn't available, or no half doors or SoT with a certain paint color, then suddenly you can get them.

Really makes me wonder what they do for the 2028 25A Rubicon which will also be the last model year of the JL. It can't just be the same Mopar catalog bolt-ons + badges/stickers/embroidery, can it? Dear god, please let it have factory 37s (not an AEV uplift) before Jeep goes off into EV land.
Hurricane motor.
Which is impressive. I’ve driven a few other vehicles with this motor. Sounds like an inline torso 6, pulls like a V8… kind of…

Don't forget us 20As are in the red interior club! Though I think ours are a little different. The 24s have all red seats, correct? The 20As have red/black seats. I wasn't honestly a huge fan of it at first, but the red has grown on me.
Me too............

I'd LOVE to have the red seats in my Stingrey '22- not to mention the updated tech...but I don't think it's worth getting into a '24 or '25 just for those things yet. Mine is paid off with only 14K mi, and I've put another 10-12K into it in other stuff, so it would be dumb for me to spend another 30-40K to slide into a newer one. Right?? Seriously...talk me out of a dumb decision. :) In the meantime, I've been thinking of just getting the seats redone in some red Katzkin with the logos along with maybe the OEM Rubi red dash covers, but not sure if that'll scratch the itch.

Back on topic- I do feel for the folks here that got into the '24FE's thinking (as we all did) that this was the final hurrah we were lead to believe, but it reminds me of how Harley Davidson has recently pizzed off a lot of their customers too in the bagger world. The circumstances were a bit different, but there are many buyers of 2023 Street Glides & Road Glides that paid top-dollar for the premium "ST" models with the nice 117" engine and other things, only to find out that in '24 this engine would be standard in most of the re-designed lineup (not just special models) to include new big info-sceens & tech that was only reserved for the CVO's before. Many of these folks would've held out for the '24's versus blowing 35K+ on the old style. Harley is VERY good at keeping secrets as well, and nobody knew until about a week before the new bikes were hitting showroom floors last Feb.

I wouldn't do it. The tech is nice, but not worth it if you already have a 392 imo. I think if you want red seats, you'd have to buy used at this point. You'd be better off going with your Katzkin plan.

I have a first edition Bronco and was this close || to getting a new heritage edition. I talked myself out of it finally. I love the Bronco I have. I can wait to see what happens next (like a PHEV or whatever). Same here. See what the 25 does. If it has red seats, then you may be in a different situation. Otherwise, I'd just stick with what you have and go with Katzkin. The red does look really good with sting.

Exactly that was lame

This is just my opinion I don’t care for the red seats I do like the new grill I think that was a good move on Jeep , the 8000 Pound winch is a tad on the low side should have been 10k again just my personal opinion. The 25 should come with 4:1 Tc at least 4:56 gearing and 38 in tires with a 3 inch lift and at least a 25 gallon tank. If they do up the HP then Dana 60’s and better steering pump 🤪

You are right on target with with your assessment and most important in any lawsuit is damages. Anyone who purchased a 392 based on false advertising of LAST and LIMITED are damaged.
I just want my 2K refunded. I'm not interested in a lawsuit. Only the attorneys will win.
I’ve been saying that for a while. Let’s keep it quiet though, or Jeep will bring it back in the 2026 Final Red Edition.

I also posted earlier after the FE announcement that it didn’t seem like Jeep was committing to the end of the Rubicon 392. Responders dismissed me. lol. The Stellantis Pres/CEO stated that they would look to the political climate before committing to the end of ICE. And as was just pointed out, the reference to the 2024FE was a tip off as well.

I’m very happy I have a 2024 White with red interior.

The 2024 FE was advertised as they were only going to make only 3,700 units. Who knew you can't believe the manufacture at their word? You say - The Stellantis Pres/CEO stated that they would look to the political climate before committing to the end of ICE. Where was this statement? I was not made aware of this prior to leaving a 2K deposit. This was going to be my second 392, Years back I had a Laura Croft edition Jeep that I held for a few years and sold for more than I invested into the Jeep. I have been saying since 2021 that I want the very last year of the 392, so when the manufacture - Jeep said the model was being taken out of production I believed them... I looked at the FE as an investment, our cash is worth less and less, all our government does is print money. I asked the Jeep dealer for my deposit back, we will see. And I will keep everyone posted!

Ha, I was at a body shop today. He plugged in the last 8 characters of my VIN into his cell phone app and it came back with only two choices from which he was to select further:

2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Limited Edition
2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Final Edition

He asked me which one I was, as he did not know either Edition.

I told him I had not heard of the "Limited Edition" but my red seats probably would be the that one.

So, somebody is identifying the red seat version as Limited Edition.

A coincidence that I had previously adopted that appellation for my Current Rides section on the left side of this post.

The odds of them putting the Hurricane motor in a 2028 20A Rubicon, a limited edition in the final year of JL production are............let me check..........yep, zero.

There's your mistake. Vehicles are not an investment they are a depreciating asset. People need to turn off the Barrett Jackson. Jeep has made more special editions over the years than regular editions. Five years from now a Final Edition will probably be worth a whole $2K more than a regular 392, so $52K instead of $50K lol.

I didn’t say they would do it for the 2025, or 392. I could see them doing it eventually. If they kill the JL platform, Jeep typically changes the chassis for a new power plant.

I have done very well over 20 yrs. buying holding and selling cars, trucks, ect.
Some have and some don't.

Actually the red seats are not in the final edition, or the final final edition. My guess is , the 2024s with the red seats will become the rarest of them all.

I just looked on the JEEP inventory website and it looks like there’s currently 26 non-final edition 2024 392s being built. I find it interesting that they are still producing a basic 2024 and I’m not convinced that JEEP won’t make a basic or non-final edition 25 model as well. Does anybody have any thoughts on whether that’s possible, that Jeep will continue a non-final edition 392 and 2025?
