June 18, 2024 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - Don’t roll the credits just yet. The Jeep® Wrangler 392 - the quickest and most powerful Wrangler ever - is roaring back for the 2025 model year by popular demand.

“When news broke in March that Jeep Wrangler 392 was roaring off into the sunset, the comments, coverage and conversation showed us that the Jeep community isn’t quite ready to say goodbye to the V-8-powered Wrangler,” said Bill Peffer, senior vice president and head of Jeep brand North America. “Jeep brand listened and will continue the 392 Final Edition into the 2025 model year.”

2025 Jeep Wrangler 392 is the quickest and most powerful Wrangler yet, featuring:
  • Class-exclusive 6.4-liter HEMI® V-8 delivering 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque
  • 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds and the quarter mile in 13.0 seconds
  • Standard 8,000-pound-capacity Warn winch, 11.6 inches of ground clearance, 34.5 inches of water fording, heavy-duty rock sliders and more
  • Trail Rated capability in any condition with Selec-Trac two-speed transfer case, intuitive full-time four-wheel drive, heavy-duty wide track Dana 44 axles with Tru-Lok electronic locking differentials and electronic front sway-bar disconnect

The 2025 Jeep Wrangler 392 Final Edition will continue to offer much of the standard equipment found on the 2024 392 Final Edition, including:
  • Exclusive hood and fender vent decals
  • Black Nappa leather-trimmed seats
  • Specially monogrammed shifter medallion and swing gate plaque
  • Standard 8,000-pound-capacity Warn winch
  • Half-inch suspension lift
  • Heavy-duty rock sliders
  • Mopar fold-out swing gate table
  • Standard Xtreme 35 Package with bronze 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels and 35-inch BFGoodrich all-terrain tires
The Mopar triple loop grille guard and Mopar Jeep 83-piece toolkit will remain exclusive to 2024 model-year 392 Final Edition vehicles.

Thanks for the heads up @258_T18A!

I agree with the use it theory very much. But if I was really wealthy I would buy about 3-4 392's and store them. Every few years I would get to break out a "new" one

If I ordered an FE I'd be kinda pissed it really isn't, maybe they should call the 24' FE the "Just Kidding' model. Pretty happy I bought my 20th when I did. Even if it is just a decal package.

I ordered a '24 392 FE but now I'm thinking to cancel and just sit tight and wait. Have a $500 non-refundable deposit

Penultimate Edition. FIFY.

Is it because the new inline 6 won’t fit in the JL?

Grille guard and toolkit exclusive to 24, curious if they will add something different for 25MY

I suspect packaging the Hurricane m motor into a Wrangler, and getting it to pass crash testing, will be challenging at least.

Best analogy I ever heard was "Buying a car and not driving it to maintain collector resale value is like not banging your girlfriend to keep her fresh for her next boyfriend."
That's my line about people who put on seat covers and PPF.

As someone who works for a manufacturer, I believe “Final Edition” doesn’t imply final year. There seems to have been aesthetic changes, a few mechanical tossed in, even at minimum, every year the 392 was available. I’m thinking there won’t be any significant difference and likely, the ‘24 and ‘25 will be the same, just different VIN designations for the model year. I haven’t read up on anything recently. But this is my thought on the Nomenclature.
We produced a product for 3 years which had 19 updates. To the public eye, it was Verizon 1. For internal eyes and project wise, it was version 1.19.

Just a thought. Manufacturing is often inclusive to a play on words.

Maybe, just maybe, I can talk the boss lady into a 2025 when the time comes. We shall see.

I disagree - you say -" I believe “Final Edition” doesn’t imply final year ". What planet do you live on? Jeep implied the 2024 was being discontinued and they were making only 3,700 of a very special model called "Final Edition" . You're trying to justify how Jeep just screwed over 3,700 suckers. Let's just say what they really did, not dance around with your corporate words and try to make it look like this is all normal. You're talking like a globalist. Not someone who spent over 100K OR going to spend over 100K on a Jeep......

There are also plenty of us who purchased 2024's 392's after they announced this would be the last year of the 392 but BEFORE they announced the final edition version would be made. They screwed over way more of us than just those that ordered the final edition.

This announcement feels like a slap in the face of 2024 FE buyers and seems like a perfect opportunity for a false marketing lawsuit. To say I'm disappointed with Jeep marketing would be an understatement.

I shared an opinion. I also stated I didn’t read up on the final edition. You might want to ask yourself why you’re so triggered by it. 🤣

I concluded with “just a thought”. Because, you know, that’s part of what people do when they discuss something. 🙄

Just like the owners of the only??? year Hellcat Durangos. Or the OG Demons. Or SRT SS owners Marketing is keen to where the big bucks are and must improve profitability no matter. I have a SP, SS, and a 20th anniversary 392. I feel blessed and enjoy each one for its unique capabilities. But the blatant not really final editions is the lowest of lows.
Pay the fiddler if you want to dance??? I am debating trading my Ram 3500 to get another Jeep 392. Why??? Cuz my wife likes hers and I think it be cool to have another one for the remainder of our Silver years of adventure

As they say, Smoke ‘em if you got em!!!

They don't have a lot left in the bag of tricks they keep recycling for special editions. Maybe they make the on-board air compressor standard for the 2025 FE? Bring back the Recovery Kit (the red bag with the tow strap, gloves, and two shackles)? A new limited edition color?
