Huge NoLimitz Feature Release (Beta)

I picked this conversation between a prospective Tazer purchaser and ZAutomotive about features that do no currently work properly on the Tazer for 24/25 Uconnect system.

Obviously ZAutomotive knows their is a problem with Uconnect5 and recommend not using those features but what is sad it is almost like they have thrown in the towel on finding a solution, we may never get a fix on these issues: (they are In-motion nav lockout and park and turn cam) I don't believe these be an issue on Pre-24 systems.

Here's the transcript of the intereaction on Youtube yesterday

"I have heard there are a number of TAZER JL Mini options that either do not work or can cause problems when used with a 2024/25 Uconnect5 system. Can you please document them so those of us that have the new Uconnect5 wont cause problem with our vehicles. Thanks!"

ZAutomotive's Answer:
"It will not cause problems with the vehicle, the features just won’t work correctly. Radio and in-motion features such as park cam and turn cam may freeze up, so if that happens, disable those features"

"Do you have any idea when these features might be available. I'm holding off buying one as both of those are very important to me, Thanks"

"There’s no guarantee these features will ever fully cooperate with the Uconnect 5 system. The Tazer has well over 50 features, if a few radio features of the Tazer not functioning as expected is deterring you from a purchase then I don’t know what to tell you"

Hopefully they can brainstorm and come up with a fix. Uconnect5 is not going away and if anything will be fully implemented across all Jeep platforms so they do need to figure this one out.

Feature request would be the front camera turn off at 8 mph adjustable. Otherwise my NoLimiz is still on original firmware approx 08/24 & my JL mini is like the 02/24 update. Knock on wood they do what I want them to do! 😁

Has anyone heard much about the new firmware release?

Let’s clear up some confusion that we’ve been seeing about the NoLimitZ module launch tomorrow.

Some are saying, “I’ve already had a NoLimitZ since it came out about a year ago”. Yes, that is true, the NoLimitZ JL and DT did come out then, but it was never available for all the other Stellantis vehicles that we support.

Tomorrow’s launch will now support the Dodge Charger, Challenger, Durango, Chrysler 300, and Jeep Grand Cherokee

Also, if you already have a NoLimitZ JL or DT for your Jeep Wrangler JL, Gladiator JT, or RAM DT truck, tomorrows launch also unlocks a totally new firmware for the NoLimitZ device, essentially making it a completely new and improved product.

Make sure to download the latest firmware tomorrow if you already own the NoLimitz module

See the comments for a video on how the device is changing and what will be made available for these models:

11-23 Chrysler 300
14-21 Jeep GC
14-23 Dodge Durango
15-23 Dodge Charger
15-23 Dodge Challenger
18 - 25 Jeep Wrangler JL
18 - 25 Jeep Gladiator JT
18 - 25 Jeep Wrangler 4XE
18 - 24 Ram 1500 DT/ TRX

I just downloaded 24.1.7. Haven't installed it yet.
Installed mine last night took it for a little road test everything seems to be working fine I only programmed a few items and will be going back in to start setting up my security and a few other items that then no limits makes available to us I would like to give a shout out to Scott and Paul@z automotive who helped me with everything I needed and made the download possible

I actually returned mine but I miss being able to turn off torque management so maybe I should have kept it.

I just noticed your post why did you return your no limits?
I was one of the first batch of Beta testers. I really didn't notice the features helping me in many ways.

I run in Offroad+ 99% of the time so MDS doesn't bother me. My battery also seemed like it was draining faster. Also, I didn't think torque management was helping much Offroad but now, I am thinking it did.

I have IGLA so I never tried security features.

The battery draining was a known glitch in the beta. That was fixed.

Tazer firmware version: 11.4.7
NoLimtz firmware version: 24.1.7
The Tazer firmware software is not listed on the Z-automotive website. You have to use the ZPU software to automatic update to 11.4.7

I’ve had my No Limitz sitting on my desk waiting for the update to reinstall
