Good for only two weeks or never was good. Driver side looks clean though. Will ask them to replace the cover this time.
I actually mentioned the cover last time at the dealership, but they replaced gasket only. The wife said by doing this they can charge labor twice, that’s a good point.Ugh! Yup, I'll bet the valve cover is warped like mine.
Cool, well, I don't know why they just don't replace the valve cover anyway. It's just plastic. Hopefully it doesn't leak again but at least you'll know what it is if you notice an oil smell. The dealership blamed the gasket from last job being defective, they replaced the gasket again today, still not the cover. Let’s see how it goes.
I've been wondering what happened. Now the dealer is going to replace cylinder head assembly, valve cover and gasket, basically a new set of passenger side top. It sounds like an open heart surgery to me. I have concerns they may generate more leaks…
I guess they have reached the point that let’s rule out any possible culprit of this leak, which I can see the point. I bet this job will cost more than the money I paid for my extended warranty.I've been wondering what happened.
Whoa! That's a lot! They didn't want to start with the valve cover first?

I was surprised at first, but they told me this is what Chrysler is asking them to do. It looks like they have elevated this to the headquarter.Well, you can go that route. Or maybe it's worth opening a star case and see if they can at least start with the valve cover first. I'm surprised they jumped past this step and went straight to changing the head.
Wow! Well, that should solve the issue.I was surprised at first, but they told me this is what Chrysler is asking them to do. It looks like they have elevated this to the headquarter.
